the midfield three can’t play together in my opinion, they’re too similar. Hard working and good at slow short passing, but nothing quick or getting us moving other than Neves long range switches. Vitinha looked lively when he came on, though Liverpool weren’t pressing as hard by then with the game won, but I’d rather see more of him if we have to play a three, at least he offers quick movement and passing, which is what we need.
He was noticeably buzzing around and wanting the ball. Cameo but encouraging.

I think this is the best we've done points wise out of the 3 seasons!
18/19 - 15 points from 11
19/20 - 13 points from 11
20/21 - 17 points from 11

Considering we haven't got going (various reasons for this IMO) performance wise - we've done well so far.

If I don't hear Clive Tyldsley again it will be too soon
Well we're on Amazon again a week on Wed against Chelsea. Though they have a full slate of games so hopefully he'll be fecked off to someone else's game.

Positives - Marcal solid throughout, and Vitinha’s cameo.

Semedo had a shocker though Robertson was outstanding.

Closing soon. Verdict thread is up.

First half we were unlucky to be behind. Second half we were poor and rightly punished for it. We just didn’t seem to play as a team, it was give the ball to Traore or Neto and see what they can do with it. Not having a striker for most of the game didn’t help at all.

Oh well, on to the next one where hopefully we get it right.
