It's frustrating how even when we've played "well" - decent tempo, pressing, some nice moves here and there - the core structural problems with the team are just inescapable. Still putting ourselves under pressure unnecessarily from sloppy goal kicks/throw-ins/set pieces, still turning phases of attack into defence by looking for backwards passes instead of forward ones, and still not really having a forward line that works. Been getting the ball into the final third plenty, the problem is that there's nowhere near enough understanding and coordination of what to do when the edge of the penalty box is approaching.

Hope Rui's injury isn't too bad. Good sign that he was conscious at least.

I know we've moaned a fair bit this season and rightly so at times and we probably will continue to do so but the injuries to Raul and Rui this season just put it all in to perspective. The sooner this season fucks off the better.
