Loan Watch 2020-2021

Good move for him. Famalicão just sold Pote to Sporting so there's a gaping hole in their squad at CAM so he should get a lot of game time.

Is he an attacking minded one? Not sure why, but I had it in my head that he was more of a holder.

Not seen or caught any reports, but I find it pretty reassuring that Gibbs-White is able to just immediately start, especially in a game away at Preston who from what little I caught of them last year still seem like the very 'robust' side we last faced when at Deepdale. I had begun to worry he was going to be one of those players that looked promising but stagnates and ends up playing 190 games between 4 or 5 different league 1 and league 2 sides.

Sounds like Campana may be joining Jordao for the season.

Only realised in the post match BBC article that the Swans manager is the same person who was the U17 manager when MGW was part of the World Cup winning squad. I suspect their knowhow of each other is useful

Weekend update.

Morgan Gibbs-White - Swansea City, The Championship

Played an hour at Preston in which he earned the Man of the Match award and grabbed the winner: a tap-in from a few yards out that was quite similar to his Europa League goal for us. Seems to have settled in well.

Ryan Giles - Coventry City, The Championship

A full game for Giles but a quiet performance in a 2-1 defeat at Bristol City.

Matija Sarkic - Shrewsbury Town, League One

Kept Kenny Jackett's Pompey at bay with a clean sheet and MOTM performance on his debut. 0-0.

Terry Taylor - Grimsby Town, League Two

A full game in a 1-0 defeat at Smallsall.

Rafa Mir - S.D Huesca, La Liga

A solid start to life in La Liga for Huesca with a 1-1 draw at Villarreal. Mir played 89 minutes but didn't contribute much.

Unused sub: Wang
Not in squad: Herc
No game: Jordao, Ronan, Dadashov, Gomes.

Am I right in saying Gibbs White played wide on the left of a front 3?

Timmy II had him down as playing in the 3 but others had him as part of the midfield 2....so to sum up, Not sure

He played in the middle according to what I saw.

Coventry have a very smart recruitment team so it's extremely encouraging that they took Giles again. Also if the rumours were true about them being interested in Otasowie/Dadashov.

Swansea played a 3412. MGW was in the middle of the 4

MGW played just behind the front 2 I think as an AM.
