Lockdown radio station

Keep going. Play what you want. Listeners will arrive. Maybe not in great numbers, but hey, you are enjoying it too.

This x1000, takes a long time to get a consistent audience but keep going Andre and the numbers will go up

Works fine on my Android phone.

Either the software is not reporting on listeners accurately or you have tuned out!

I'm leaving Dylan's Highway 61 playing whilst I go out for a bit

Thanks for the feedback Bear. Don't know why my Android phone won't hack it. Or my friends.

I have been a bit busy today so have not picked tracks as I normally would. So a few things have just been left playing (Pixies included)

Right I'm back. I'd just left some Dylan playing but now it's for real.....

Offline atm folks. Not that I think any of you listened. For more than a few mins anyway!

If you want to grow your numbers then you really need to get heavily involved in social media. Just putting the links on here - you'll get a few listeners out of goodwill (not sure how long they need to stick around to constitute a hit) but we don't have an especially large userbase and a good chunk of them will never even open this thread.

Sounds easy just plugging your own stuff forever but you need retweets, recommends, follows, likes, plugs from bigger accounts and then run from there. Think of what you're doing that's unique and try to plug into that - if there's a Pixies hour going on, in advance find some big Pixies fan accounts on Twitter, take down the usernames, tag them in. Might get nowhere but it'll massively increase your chances. You're essentially throwing a lot of darts semi-blindfolded and hoping enough hit. If you're good enough then it will pick up.

Good luck to you man.

Wow, that's cool advice DW. I can see exactly where your coming from

But, ya know TBH this is something to do during lockdown! I have not had to pay a penny for what I'm doing and I've barely thought about monetising it. I'm gonna play what I want when I want. I'm going back online shortly, now: andre.radio12345.com

Mate, if I just posted all my stuff on here and nowhere else, I wouldn't have got anywhere :icon_lol: But I've been going nearly four years now and I do ok, I don't earn millions out of anything and that's not why I do it but it gets very good exposure. You do have to cheapen yourself a bit though if you want an audience. Just the way it is.

Happy to offer any advice if I can albeit we're not in the same sphere :)

Ha! Understood. Do me a favour though and listen?

I'm doing a fair bit of audio translation and transcription at the moment (got to keep the lights on, even if it isn't what I want to do) but when I can, I will :shakehand:

Cool DW. I'll post on hear when I'm live (which I am atm)

Playing Free Goin' Down Slow from their 1969 album Tons Of Sobs
