A glimmer of hope, but all too easily snuffed out near the end.

I think we set up correctly but we just didn't perform at keeping the ball well enough when we actually got it, and we wasted any shots we had on goal.

They had two slightly fortunate deflections on both their first goals but you earn that luck when you have so many chances and opportunities.

It was always a free hit tonight but to collapse like that at the end is a little disappointing.

Can't really pick a MOTM out so I won't bother. Onwards and upwards to a Grealish-less Villa.

The small spell where Wolves actually tried to compete they looked good, got City flustered and created some openings. Why isn't that the default plan?

Can't rely on trying to keep it tight when you've spent pretty much the whole season shipping awful goals.

Not too fussed by this one. City have demolished plenty of teams this season

Couldn't give two fucks about this game. City made six changes and weren't weakened. We can't compete with them, and neither can anyone else.

City are very good aren't they, no fear, no panic just gracefully play out of any situation

Maybe if we had tried to win the game from the start that might have been a plan? Why be frightened of the opposition? We did beat them twice in the League last season.

Can at least attempt to for more than 10 minutes.

Played the same as last season, except then we had Boly and Raul. Not much else to say really.

Men vs boys for the majority of that game.
We had a great spell after we brought Silva on but City's quality was too much.
De Bruyne,Jesus and Mahrez were outstanding.
We had too many anonymous performances

Is was going to take a miracle to even draw this. Man City are on another planet. At least we gave it a bit of a go for some of the game. Let's get in to the Vile at the weekend.

Really ??

They are a lot stronger now. Their bench would walk into any team.

Not encouraging the surrender but to suggest we'd do anything but get beat today - on the form of both teams - is silly

Some poor individual performances but until their second, they hadn’t actually created many good chances weirdly.

we had a brief period after we scored where we looked like we might starting causing some problems too, but then last 15 was very leggy (hoever shouldn’t have stayed on at that point).

you can’t really compete when they are on playing like that, he rotated the team against West Ham ahead of this game with sterling, cancelo fresh. Crazy depth too.

need Boly back that is for sure. Dendoncker is so badly out of form, needs a breather out the t he’s been that poor.
