Assuming Toti will just come in for Saiss and other than that we'll be unchanged. He *could* give a chance to some of the players that made an impact off the bench v Chelsea (such as Trincao), but having re-watched the fully 90 of that match, I actually think we played reasonably well. We definitely carry more of a threat on the break with Neto in the side - he has to start again tonight - and realistically, that's the only way we're going to play v City.

He might go with Donk in the back 3 and Cundle in midfield

He was utterly dreadful in a back 3 last time they tried that. Toti was infinitely better.

[Edit my bad - getting old, it was Marcal who was REALLY bad, Donk was merely just bad, Toti was much better than both - just play him]

Agreed. Toti for Saiss straight swap is the most obvious move. But then Bruno gotta Bruno, I guess!

Everyone is missing the obvious... Marcal was on the bench on Saturday and Lage is BOUND to pick him. Toti will be left on the bench

I am not as convinced by Toti as many of you seem to be, but i would welcome his inclusion tonight, certainly over playing Donk at CB, that has rarely gone well.

Toti has been solid defensively but looked a bit clunky/safe in possesion. Could have been instruction/confidence being new to the team.

Tbf the height isn’t a massive issue against City so it is a game you could get away with playing smaller players In the back 3 who may be quicker/better on the ball. Marcal is neither of those though so I’d still go with Toti.

I think he's done better than could be reasonably expected, but not well enough to really know what we have with him. I'd be ok starting next season with him as 4th choice centre half in a back 4, but not any higher.

We've got two cup wins over them since Fosun took over tbf.

And our moral draw at Anfield when Neto had his goal disallowed...

One of those cup wins they played 85 with Hoever and well frankly we all know how that plays out ;)

Should have beaten them in the home game. That was in the middle of us at our best under Nuno IMO. Looked like such a good team able to go toe to toe with the best.

Genuinely one of my favourite games despite losing. Like you say, toe to toe with the best team in the league, under the lights, incredible atmosphere.

Liverpool fans genuinely say we were their toughest games that season.

The Anfield win is unfathomable when you consider the team we sent out.

----------------------Burgoyne------------------

Coady----------Stearman--------Hause-------Doherty

---------Edwards-----Evans-------Saville-------------

----------Costa-------Dicko------Weimann------------

Other than Helder (who was at his very best around this time) there is precisely nothing to recommend about that XI. We even got away with bringing on Jigsaw Mason for the last 15.

Oh I wouldn't go with Donk but Bruno might, thinking about it, probably will be Marcal.

who's gonna play on the wing if Donks in defence?!
God, that "tactic". To think it up is crazy in the first place, to keep doing it when it obviously doesn't work is certifiable. It's this decade's Dave Edwards on the left of a diamond midfield. Darren Potter and Carl Robinson were better suited to playing wide.

Amazing day. Even if I did have to sit next to Quirk for all of it...

Possibly a little bit harsh on Hause, but yeah that's a terible team. Even the youngish ones with hope have faded without trace (could even include helder there sadly)

wolves are currently 12-1 to win tonight. That's very long odds in a two horse race against a team under pressure to win the title after a poor Champions League exit.. Sure , City should and probably will win , but 12-1? Worth a tenner.

I watched our last home game.

It’s not worth a tenner.

I really, really hope you are on here later tonight 120 quid richer, if so feel free to post as many 'smug faces' as you wish.
