Middlesbrough (H) build up

He didn't on Sunday. As I said before, I'd pick him today but he's not perfect and not undroppable. Too many players are under performing.

I think if Wolves are to get anything out of todays game they have to get the better footballers on the ball and pass it well. McDonald is perhaps the key player for this with Price the most able when circulating the ball to get McDonalds involvement. If you start adding shit for brain runners like Edwards RVLP and Doherty you give up much of what makes you competitive by not being able passers of the ball.

I think that was more to do with our 2 going against a very good 3 on Sunday. Price made a difference for a time on Wednesday and both McD and Coady looked far better with him on the pitch. It was a low bar to start with mind you.

Doherty, Edwards and Van La Parra, I didn't realise it was Christmas already. What have I done to deserve such a wonderful gift?

If it was mandatory to hand team sheets in two hours before kick off with those players selected the attendance would drop by a couple of thousand. Stay in pub, for long session.

I would expect Edwards in front of Coady/McDonald with VLP and Byrne wide, that wouldn't be our worst option but personally would have Price in and definately Henry rather than VLP, I know Henry wasn't great the other night but from what I've seen he is currently our best wide player by quite a margin.

In the Western. Starting to get excited now for some reason. 1-0 Edwards.

:icon_lol:

Fwiw I'd play Coady and Price holding and protecting the back four. Kmac with licence to play a little further forward (not as a number 10 though). Afobe up top with Henry on the right and whoever on the left (doesn't really matter as none of our players are good enough to be a first choice left sided player).

Playing 4-3-3.

More importantly; Darlo and I will be in Wolves around 12.15. Heading to the Western.

Will head to the Western in a bit. Got to drive today unfortunately.

I wouldn't put RVLP in my current Year 7 XI at school. Waste of bloody space. At least 'Dangerous Dave' gets stuck in and scores the odd goal. RVLP seems to have a serious problem with accuracy. Henry is a better alternative on the left. McDonald plays better when he is partnered by Price, so Price has to play. Martinez is our best goalie and dropping him would be folly. I read somewhere that he is making our defenders nervous. Well, I should think it ought to be the other way round. Can't see us getting more than a draw out of this, whatever team KJ picks, but I hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I can't understand this at all, maybe he's banged Jackett's wife or daughter as its barmy to leave him out for Dave 'Pele' Edwards.

We desperately need pace on the wings so I can understand RvlP and Byrne getting a game, far better than Ojo and poor James Henry couldnt put a cross on a pools coupon at the moment.

Henry did well v Derby.

Middlesbrough are my second favourite team. When I am in North Yorkshire (my 'other' home) I go to watch them, occasionally, when The Wolves are away to a southern team. However, there's no doubting who I want to win today, though and they don't wear red. Predict 1-1 draw and that will be sufficient to 'stop the rot' and, hopefully see us begin to make some kind of recovery.
