MK Dons (H) build up 28/11

No player is ever guaranteed anything. He has to play however as he brings a lot to the team at the moment. He's inconsistent but by nature that's a wide player for you

The way Wolves set up the wide players and the striker are at times at the mercy of the quality of service played into them. If you get the ten position sorted you might start seeing some variety into all of those positions.

Obviously not guaranteed his place but Henry has been far and away our best wide player this season, I'm not for dropping a decent player just cos his form has dipped, give him at least another couple of games to put it right......feel its the other wide berth thats giving us problems, Byrne seemed to be doing ok but was dropped, it sounded like Ojo did ok when he came on........... impact player? Be interested to hear how Graham did yesterday.

Henry isn't providing any kind of reasonable service either in open play or from set pieces. I quite like him generally but he hasn't been playing well for a while now, I'm not minded to keep him in just because he was playing ok in August and September. This is the here and now, we need to win at least three of these next four games (I say we could do with winning the lot) and an easy way to make us more threatening and more attack minded is to add more pace. If we were doing that to the detriment of steady service to the forwards then there'd be an argument for retaining the safer option in Henry - but he isn't offering that at the moment, not even close.

I like the debate and I like the 4-4-2 team. Will KJ be brave enough to start it? This has got to be 3 points. Anything else is unacceptable. Martinez back if fit and Le Fondre in for Dangerous Dave could happen. Graham will retain his place as will Henry. So whilst I would like to see Byrne this will be my guess at the team

Martinez if fit
Iorfa Batth Williamson Goldbourne
Henry Price MCDonald Graham
Afobe Le Fondre

Finally bit the bullet and got myself a membership with the offer for this game. Now to not think about how much money I'd have saved if I'd bought one two and a half years ago like I should have...

You can afford it one house in Bilbrook is worth the whole of my road :yikes:

I feel more comfortable with Henry in the team, but that's a gut instinct more than anything. I'd perhaps give him the next couple to up his game, knowing full well he has Byrne breathing down his neck.

Looking at his post match comments it'll be 442 with Le Fondre back in which'll mean dropping Price and putting Edwards alongside McDonald

That would be nuts, while I'm an Edwards fan, we always play better with Price/Kmac as our cm

I would probably stick wth Henry on the right, think he has done ok this season. KJ should certainly be thinking about dropping him for Byrne though!

I would also drop DE for ALF and go to a more traditional 4-4-2. I certainly wouldn't drop Price to bring Alf in though.

Yeah that's my worry, Edwards and McDonald in midfield is extremely likely.

I can't fancy us with any conviction on the back of one win in seven.

I know MK have got poor away form, but three of those losses were against Middlesbrough, Burnley, and Brighton, so I don't think they can be judged too harshly on that. They're a decent team who will cause us problems, though I think I'm saying that because I get flashbacks of them absolutely pasting us at home back in League One.

My word was Leigh Griffiths shite that day. Hooked at HT as I recall.

Ikeme (accept that's heart over head)
Obvious defence
Byrne
Price
McDonald
Le Fondre
Afobe
Graham

Old fashioned 442 with pace and let's just rip 'em apart

Edwards and Henry will play though instead of Byrne and Price

Next Saturday will see the glorious return of Darren Potter to Molineux. Fair play to him for fighting his way back to this level.

I'd go with your choice, though you are probably also right with the last comment

I didn't mind Potter tbf. Quality when we beat Albion in the 1-0 Bothroyd/Matt Murray worldie game. Got a bad rep based on performances when Mick shoved him on the right wing. Potter >>>>> Seyi anyway.

Potter had a good run of games in Mick's first season - wasn't he captain at one point too while Henry was injured?
