I know there are a few lads on here that play guitars/basses. Paddy, T3ch etc, was just wondering what gear you've got or had, now i hav'nt played, band or studio for over a decade but from memory my bass list is as follows :

Hondo 2 Rickenbacker copy,( It was the mid late 70's and everyone has to start somewhere.)
Dan Armstrong plexiglass bass
1976 Fender Jazz, sold it to the Sure microphone rep for £200 in the 80's. it would now cost me about 1.5k to replace !!
Aria pro 2 SB1000, damn you Jack Bruce !!
Kramer Stagemaster 8 string, in conjunction with an Orange 100w head and two Allan Gordon 1810 cabs (1x18" and 2 x10" speakers in each) I could shake the glass out of windows with that setup :)
Peavey 5 string bass
Fender Squire (US) fretless jazz bass, just for the fun of it !

When I look back over the last 30 odd years I must have been a complete guitar tart :)
ps. dont even get me started on amps !

Drooooool....

Ibanez four-string, Ibanez five-string and a Yamaha five-string. EBS 350W head through a 4x10 Ashdown cabinet. Elixir strings. Far too may pedals.

Nowt special gear wise:

Yamaha Pacifica 6-string
Vintage 6-string
Yamaha 12-string electro-acoustic
Fender Squier 6-string (Made for Rock Band game)
Marshall Valvestate amp (pretty old now, only 30W I think)
A few stomp pedals, mainly Boss ones - Crybaby Wah, Delay, Chorus, Flange.

I have an Epiphone. It ain't much, but I love her.

Hardly played since I've had kids though.

My dream guitar is the cherry red Gibson ES-345 with block inlays and Bigsby Tremolo arm, as seen in Back To The Future. It just looks awesome.

ESP Horizon FR-II made in their Tokyo custom shop
Washburn MG-44 that I got 20 years ago

Marshall JVM410H + 1960A Cabinet

Boss floormount multi-fx

A brilliant sound attenuator called a THD Hot Plate - I can turn to 11 without fucking the neighbours off. I recommend it to anyone with big amps in a confined space.

Those SB-1000's are something special. I've had my eye out for one of the clear-stained wood ones for a long time.

Currently I've got tons of pedals, a Mesa M-2000 (head), Wayne Jones 2x10, and Kappa 1x15 that I dropped into an empty cab. Basses are...

USA G&L L-2000
Fender Hwy-1 P
Spector NS4CRFM
Yamaha BB415
Musicman Stingray HH

Just sold my fiver ATK and Kawai FIIB last week... Unfortunately with my recent break up I need money and have sold a bunch of equipment, with a few more currently listed.

The G&L is my baby... prized possession.

Is that you t3ch?

Oh forgot to mention, a gawdy yellow BC Rich bass in the late 80's, God knows what I was thinking :)

Agreed - and this is from a man who came very close to ordering his ESP in urban camo rather than the delightful see-thru cherry that he eventually went with.

Hey, I thought I'd stop by and post up what I've got at the moment:

Guitars:
Fender '72 Telecaster Deluxe Reissue - That's my main go-to guitar.
Build-it-yourself Stratocaster with Iron Gear "Pig Iron" pickups - Master volume and master tone, with a solo "blower" switch.
Taylor 110e Electro-acoustic
Gordon Smith GS1.6 - single cutaway. I have totally stripped this at the moment and am fitting a veneer top (will probably be a disaster!)

Pedals:
Boss TU2 Tuner
BYOC British Blues Overdrive
Self-built Tubescreamer clone
EHX Micro POG
Danelectro Cool Cat Chorus
EHX Stereo Pulsar Tremolo
EHX LPB-1 Clean Boost
Biyang AD-10 Delay
Biyang RV-10 Tri-Reverb

I've also got a few pedals that I don't use any more - Boss DS2 distortion, a clone of a Ross Compressor and a Fuzz Face that I built myself.

Amp:
Fender Blues Deluxe

Equipment that I've had and sold (in reverse chronological order)....

Guitars:
Yamaha APX-4A Electro-Acoustic
Encore Strat (when I was about 14)

Pedals:
Zoom 606 MultiFX
Boss GT8 MultiFX
Vox V847A Wah-Wah (modded with an LED and True Bypass)
Behringer VP1 Vintage Phaser (modded for tru bypass)
Boss Fender '63 Reverb
EHX Nano Clone Chorus
TC Electronics Nova Dynamics compressor and noise gate

Amps:
Peavey Studio Pro 110
Vox 2x12 AD100VT
Blackstar HT-20 + 1x12 Celestion Vintage 30 cab

I might post some pictures soon. I haven't got any good ones at the mo so I feel a session with the Missus's digital SLR coming up!

EDIT: These are my band's Flickr sets, featuring some but not all of the above! - http://www.flickr.com/photos/zeligmusic/sets/

Quite possibly. ; )

That reminds me... I also have this bass. It's ridiculously obnoxious.

1h56ps.jpg

how can you be taken seriously when you're playing something that looks like Kermits arse ???

Hondo 2 Rickenbacker copy,( It was the mid late 70's and everyone has to start somewhere.)

Now if it was an orginal Hondo, we would have been talking money.

The original Hondo's were made in the Fuji Gen factory, home of the most exalted of Japanese copies. Shame to call them copies really, as they tended to surpass the originals

I'm sorry, but that is fucking horrible.

See, this is exactly the sort of reaction that makes it so awesome. Is it horrific looking? God yes. Is the ridiculously neon green fretboard tacky and obnoxious? Absolutely. Will anyone think I look badass playing it? Hell no.

That's why I like it. Just wait until I get the neon pink strings put onto it, it'll look even better. :D

Yep, some of those old Hondo's are really high quality pieces.

"I'm really looking forward to seeing this ba.....oh, Jesus wept, have you seen the state of his bass? Fuck that, I'm staying at the bar."
