New - The things that really annoy you

I know I can leave 2 bags in for a few minutes then squeeze the bejeezus out of them, but I'd kind of like to use 1 bag.
If I knew which was the tastiest, then I could buy them every time.

Yorkshire Gold is the king of tea bags for me and I like mine pretty strong. Typhoo is the worst I’ve ever tasted by a mile.
Correct, the office used to buy Typhoo, it's rank and even worse for me as they have a long standing association with St Helens!

I like strong tea and Yorkshire Tea is the best I've found. Used to be PG tips but made the switch about 10 years back.

At an early place of work as a young man we took turns in buying teabags. When it came to my turn I bought some happy shopper t-bags mainly as they were dirt cheap, I was never asked after that to buy any, they were like drinking the contents of an ashtray.

Set off at 1pm today to drive 62 miles to drop the dogs off then come home.

Got home at 7.20. M6 and M5 an extra level of hell today and getting off the M5 at J3 was a wrong call as well as looked like a serious accident on the Brum New Road closed that.

Big chunk of West Brom/Oldbury shut due to a large fire on kelvin way, cardboard factory or recycling

Could see it from miles away, couldn't believe how away it ended up being. Looked a bad un

Right by the M5. Amazed they kept it open rather than have cars stuck right next to it

We're flying to London on Sunday and we tried to check in on line.
Wouldn't let us.
Wife phoned Aer Lingus who told her, "You can't book in on line as the airport has taken over the checking in process."
What a load of bollocks!
Then we got a message saying, "You can check in at the airport 2 hours before departure." (Which is 1115.)
Tales of queues at Dublin are becoming legendary. They've closed off the road for setting down and built a fucking big tent, this to house the hundreds of people in a massive holding queue. when you get to the front of this then they let you into the airport building to queue at the check in desk!
So we weren't risking a simple 3 hours prior to flight time Sunday morning.
We asked if we could come to the Airport tomorrow and check in then. In person. At the Airport.
After being told repeatedly that check in opens at 0915, they said, "Yes, you can come and check in in the afternoon."
We kept pushing and someone told us that we couldn't check in on line because of multiple changes to our flight.
We had to postpone it (ONCE) when Covid struck 4 months ago. One alteration.
Now we have to traipse all the way to Dublin Airport spend pounds parking the car and come home.
Grrr.

Whilst I'm at it, Dublin Airport Authority, a highly corrupt Government department, Got rid of most of the staff at a lower level when Covid broke in 2 years ago. anyone that was left were told to reapply for their own jobs and changed to what is I believe the American system of operating for profit. Everyone had zero hour contracts (almost outlawed here) and had to be available on a 24 hour basis, which meant you had to have a car and people can't live like that , so they don't have enough staff to run the kip.
Which is why you have to queue to queue. Fucking disgraceful.
also means you now have to park in the car park to drop someone off and boom! It's €5 to drop off.
Unprincipled cunts.

€5 Euro is cheap for a drop off car park.

After yesterday, currently in another fuck driving mood.
Heading to Holyhead at 4am today and nearly had a head on collision. Some twat decided to try and over take 2 lorries despite the fact I was driving towards them. Luckily a side road and the driver of the 2nd lorry slowing down meant I could swerve/break and a gap was created just in time for the nobhead to move into.

Finally made it over back home
Got a bit hungry last night. Not many options at 9pm on a Sunday night
Drove up Stafford Rd, spotted Fordhouse Chippy was open...£9.80 for pie and chips with a tub of curry sauce and a vimto!!
I know prices have gone up some. But £9.80!

Chips round here are at least £3 just for a small portion nowadays. Fish is £5-6. At least £1.50 just for a small curry/beans.

Just didn't realize how much prices have gone up in a year is all, kinda took me by surprise

I think Pete's Plaice on the Vine Island is cheaper (and better) too. Fordhouses Chippy has always been pretty steep and bang average quality.

Some classic chip shop names there like! Best one I've seen is one near my old house called Salt and Battery.

Sadly (although no humorous name) Gavriels has gone and been replaced by a chinese.
