Dreadful. Never worked from minute 1 and the subs were too late to really affect the game. The front three didn't really link up once in the game, Fabio did stuff by himself that was decent but the other two were terrible.

The penalty is one that Sa needs to learn from. He can't keep coming steaming out at players and hoping for the best.

Bruno 100% to blame - he tried to be a clever dick and ended up just a dick.

Awful first half, OK in the second. Neither team deserved 3 points.

Love to know why Hwang and Trincao were left on as long as they were. Neto and Campbell both more effective.

If ever there was a game that proves how weak our squad depth is, it was tonight.

Campbell, Fabio, Neto, Cundle and RAN all ended the game and all under 21 (obviously Neto less of an issue here)

But us having to rely on Cundle in CM tonight is a disgrace and the finger needs to be pointed aggressively at Shi and Sellars for that.

Rubbish from the players and poor from the coaching side too.

we’ve done well to have as many points as we do considering, but the way we play simply isn’t sustainable and will cause us serious problems next season without a lot of improvement.

Dog Dirt!

I'd imagine even the WDF darts would have been more entertaining than that.

Trincao & Hwang contributed zero in the first half. So why were they not substituted then?

First top half team to lose against Newcastle this season.

Deserved absolutely nothing, got absolutely nothing.

Not a single player leaves with credit this evening and the manager getting brain freeze and being too scared to make changes when he picked the wrong side to begin with makes it even worse.

Now Sky get to complete their Newcastle wankfest and we have to put up with seeing Eddie Howe’s smug face. Two weeks without a game now for us to mull over that ‘performance’. Can’t wait.

That’s the euro dream over for me. We’ll finish 8th, which I guess isn’t bad - but it could have been so, so much better. Ultimately you can’t lose to teams like Newcastle, Leeds etc and expect to qualify for European football.

Utter scromit - Hwang, Trincao, Boly awful. Sa needs to learn line between dynamic and haphazard.

Got what we deserved.

Good job I'm off to Amsterdam in the morning for a three day stag. I wasn't particularly looking forward to it, but three days of solid booze will help erase the last 90 minutes. Shite.

Hwang, Trincao and Marcal can get in the fucking sea.

341 won't win you many games unfortunately.

Lage should've made changes earlier to ditch the underperforming wide forwards but then it's not like their replacements looked like they would've had much more impact.

Some of the defending was appalling. They've looked a lot better individually this season for the most part, getting tighter and being more assertive but it does open you up to problems if you don't win those battles. We saw that happen to Kilman on the disallowed goal and Boly for the penalty, if you're going to get that tight then you can't get beat so easily or you're just taking yourself out of the game. Quicksand Coady isn't the man to cover adequately when those situations arise, so easy for Wood to run off his and Kilman's back for the penalty.

Didn’t get overrun in midfield at any point. They actually had plenty on time for the majority of the game. Unfortunately nothing in front of them offering and when it did go forward they lost it.

At the end of the day we conceded from a Cundle slip and Sa being a total moron (not the first time).

I’d play Campbell instead of Hwang 100/100. And Trincao had actually started to show something and then he plays like that. Hates a strong word, but I’d struggle to think of two players I’ve disliked more relative to investment.

Haven't loads of people been shouting for Cundle over the last few weeks ??
