Very poor performance. No-one really turned up other than Kilman (MOTM) who handled Zaha pretty well. Palace regularly pressed us into giving them the ball back and we couldn't do the same.

Subs were right but had very little effect.

Got to hope for much better against West Ham.

This is bollocks Alan.

Palace have made sure every time the ball goes near Raul he's had Kouyate on his toes. We've also had very few players in and around Raul when he's had the ball.

Our problems seem to be the manager leaving tactical ability to change where Viera had it right

That happens sometimes, got to move on and learn.
I don't disagree that we could have made a tactical adjustment to help, but equally you have to expect your forward to win something in that situation. I can't think of a single time that Raul got the better of Kouyate.

That's just not good enough, and Raul should be expected to be much, much better.

Looked like they couldn't match Palace's mobility as much as anything from what I saw. Couldn't move the ball quickly enough to escape their press for long enough to create anything of note, couldn't get close enough to stop them at key moments. Such as Neves overcommitting and being easily sidestepped by the human fridge of James McArthur on the first goal, something he does far too often for my liking.

Andersen had Jimenez in his pocket.

Who would have thought Max Kilman would be one of our most consistent players this season..earned his new contract

For once, not trying to be an ass.

How do you figure the subs were right if they didn't impact anything?

Fag paper between the teams. Low quality. Tough tackles and hard work. Mick would have loved it. We weren't awful and they weren't great. Tiny margins at this level. Next.

Saw it exactly the same. Neither team will remember this game, and it’ll likely count for absolutely nothing come the final league table.

we should have made them HT at 0-0, hugh difference when you see how the game is going

Disappointing. Never got going and Palace just seemed a yard quicker all over the pitch. I expected a tough game but equally I expected us to compete better than we did.

Second best everywhere, deserved nothing.

We couldn’t match their running or aggression and they won all their battles - they wanted it more than us.

The physical games aren’t going to suit Trincao - I’ll say it again - he goes missing in games like this because he’s not physically string enough.

What I’d give for an attacking CAM like Gallagher - he runs all day, great in the tackle, nice passer and an eye for goal.

Hes some player by the looks of it - and we’ve got nothing like that.

Can’t really pinpoint the issues today - they were everywhere - we were just pretty shit.

Nothing endearing about today whatsoever problem was it was blatantly obvious at about 50 minutes that we would lose the game if nothing was changed but that didn’t happen until we were 1-0 down. The better side won on the day we were a distant second best low intensity and the front three were pretty woeful.

That's too harsh. Raul v Geuhi/ Anderson + Kouyate is never going to work. Particularly when your other front players were miles away.

As YW said in the matchday thread were went for a contain strategy which didn't really work in the second half. Lage should've changed it but he didn't.

I'm sure he'll learn to change or teams will keep putting 3 in the midfield and with the deep player sit on Raul. Leeds, Brentford and Palace have all done the same thing now with success. I'd include Everton 2nd half with Delph too.

That's not on Raul but the manager and I'm pretty sure he'll adapt and when we're fluid we're frightening to watch.

As it is we're mid-table where we can be very average or very good.

Max was excellent, but Neves pips it for me.

Need to see the goal again, but from real time, Sa as had a huge rush of blood coming for that ball, it was about 2 yards from the edge of the area!

Low quality game for sure. They were more organised it felt, probably agree with whoever said about mobility too.

didn’t really get into dangerous positions enough. RAN the only real threat. Or Podence when he came on

Home team won a mid table game basically. Hopefully Bruno learns plenty from it. Tough game next!
