I think Hoever likely has some improvement in him. He's barely played other than the odd game. There were plenty writing Kilman off last season before his run in the team.

Not to say he'll get to that level but I think he could be a reasonable, if limited back up. I seem to remember him having at least one half decent game for us where he got forward and crossed well.

On current showings I don't think Hoever will ever make it in the Premier League. Liverpool do a good job of selling poor players on for inflated prices. They also kept Neco Williams over him, and he's shit.

I doubt we would have bought Hoever if we hadn't sold Jota to Liverpool. So I suspect his transfer fee was simply added to the amount Liverpool were prepared to pay for Jota. The higher the figure for Jota, the better the transfer looked.

Jonny won't be ready to start, and he won't switch to 4 at the back this late in the season, so you may as well just accept Hoever starting for the next couple of games until Jonny beds back in.
I'd rather get an u16 to play, he would have more.idea than Hoever, who is so shit

Starting Jonny is way too risky - particularly for the player himself . Jonny needs a pre season behind him before he can start regular matches - as he might have to do if Nelson is out for 6 odd weeks .
Yes Hoever didn't cover himself in glory , but he has hardly started or even played any minutes at all to date this season . Give him a few full matches first and judge him then .
We love putting the knife in here and then twisting it . Give him a chance please .

Hoever hasn't looked great in most games played, but it is an exceptionally small sample.
That said, the worrying thing for me in the west ham game was how infrequently our team looked to pass to him. It's like they don't trust him at the mo. Very frequently our midfield look for the ball to Semedo, and it was on a few times in the w ham game but players declined to make the pass.

Is Neto ready to start? "I really don't know. He's doing well and he feels comfortable, but he didn't have time for a pre-season. We cannot give time to everybody and I cannot select a team with a lot of players who don't have 90 minutes in their legs. Lets see." #wwfc

That would suggest that he isn't keen on starting Jonny and Neto. Jonny would be the priority for me based on Hoever's performances.

There is no sign of Ait Nouri at training pictures then, which is strange, but on the other side Lage hasn't mentioned anything about his potential absence...

It'll definitely be Hoever the way Lage is talking....hopefully RAN is fit

Is RAN definitely fit? It's pretty vital that he is. Don't fancy lining up with Hoever and Marcal again

Neither Fabio nor Raul starting.

We're going to need a new number 9 in the summer

Ait-Nouri only makes the bench?

Good to see Neto back.
