Political Compass

Unsurprisingly I'm libertarian left. More surprisingly, I seem to have become more extreme in both since the last time I did one of these. Agree that some of the questions, especially about multi-nationals, are leading, and I struggled to work out what one or two of them meant.

As sure as night follows day :)

But as DW said, a lot of leading questions. Anyone who comes out as right authoritarian would need to have some very scary outlooks on life in general.

Pretty similar I think!

I did think about skewing the answers to do just that, seeing as everyone seems to be posting the same results graph :)

I do wonder how they scaled the parties' viewpoints on this - how they judged Labour, Conservatives etc to be where they are. Just from their policies in general?

I guess they are where they should be.

I think where they're all pitched on the map is broadly correct (as of 2015, Labour will have shifted left since then but not by *that* much). It's the questions asked that aren't brilliant but then the site itself seems to claim they're quite respected, so who I am I to say.

Current Tory economic and social policies are definitely hard right and going further right.

I tried to get as close to the top corner as possible and still failed.

Liberal lefty all the way! It's the only way tbh, any other views are incorrect :run:

As close as I could get it to the top corner. I despair if someone is even near there with those questions, as they are some quite disturbing answers and views to hold

In what has long been considered a liberal democracy, there are very few political parties that are liberal... In such an environment it isn't surprising that people on the left are easily labelled extreme and why those on the left see the likes of the Tories and UKIP extreme.

This website is clearly sponsored by the Green Party!

Sort of where I expected, thought I would've been just the other side of the left/right boundary though in the purple box of nothingness with no respresentation.

Fuck knows how to put the image in.

I am 1.5 squares right of centre and 4.5 squares toward libertarian on the scale. Pretty much as I expected it to come out.

not sure I've done this correctly

edit: just saw that trips beat me to it, though looks like i'm slightly more insane

No point in me doing it. Just stick a dot on extreme Left 😎
