****POLL NOW IN OP****Who do you want next?

No. I want to hear from him AFTER he is announced, and before he goes on holiday. So a day or 2 to let us know the plans. It doesn't need any players there to do that does it?
But he hasn't yet. So it's kind of beside the point at the moment.

Wolves communication is pretty effective, I'm sure part of the first day is shooting prop movies, signing the contract, touring the facilities of both the Molineux and Sir Jack Hayward Training Ground, press releases. The whole merry-go-round.

Also, Lage is a quiet person. After he won the title with Benfica he quietly invited a bunch of journalists to Benfica's training ground and sat with them talking for an hour. Too bad it's in Portuguese, you all might enjoy the talk football, down to earth kind of vibe. I'll look for the video.

EDIT: Automatic subtitles don't work very well. But if you have the will for it, have a look. Good interview this.

Well, apart from being photographed outside the ground.

I'm sure he's going to be doing plenty, but as i pointed out if he wants to start off on the right foot then his best bet is to engage with the fans and let them (us) know a little bit about what he wants to do here, his thoughts on the players etc. You don't need to be loud to do that.
Maybe i'm just asking too much to know what the new managers plans are.

Bleedin eck so now we're moaning about him for what he may or may not do when or whenever he gets announced! I'm sure he will do a presser for us when unveiled and we will get to hear a bit from him and wouldn't be surprised if he has already taken his holidays during the past 12 months! I would imagine he has been working on us for a while and whilst everyone is away he will probably go back to Portugal to sort things, he will need to move over here and maybe Maria Campos will be coming with him too

If I'm not mistaken, from the shot it seems he was going in the direction of the doors. Probably arriving to do exactly what I said. Signing contract, get a tour, get to know everything in person.

This probably includes him making the publicity work of videos, photos, etc; Once that is done, he will release the common welcome statement of football:

"Wolves is a historic club. I'm very happy to be here, everything is fantastic. Jeff Shi is awesome, the stadium is beautiful. I can't wait to get started and I hope to do great things."

Then he'll go home, get up-to-date on his reading about the inhouse stuff, players, staff, schedules, tactics, and so on.

Brilliant! That'll keep me happy.... All i really need to know in a few lovely words.

If he doesn't crowbar a reference to being part of the pack in he'll be sacked on day one

Cheers for the input. Even for a miserable git like me it’s getting a tad too depressing on here for me at the moment.

And Mr Rodrigues. I get it, he's obviously your most favourite bloke ever. You are slightly biased.
I'm basing it off what i've seen and heard. I've seen various pictures, and heard fook all from the bloke. Not a solitary word.
I'm hoping he has quite a few words to say before he buggers off on his hols in the sun.
So, you have someone with ACTUAL knowledge of Lage the manager, who is telling you his experiences but you read something, somewhere and seen a picture (taken by a fan, clearly, and put on to social media) but it's Lage's fault!
A little bit of courtesy to a Benfica fan giving us his opinion based on fact wouldn't go amiss, surely?

Cheers. I understand it's not the most exciting appointment. It's risky. But let's see how he does. If he fails epicly, then that's it. We sack him and get someone else.

No need, the lad is reacting negatively, which is understandable. I have the pleasure of having seen him in action, and how down to earth Lage is.

Glad to have Jrod around to put a positive light on Lage because things would be absolutely oppressive without it.
I'm very biased with Lage, that goes without saying :ROFLMAO:
