QuestionTime With PPB, Instead of Sir Robin Day .

Would liver technically be offal, not meat? Its an internal organ, not skeletal tissue.

Last thing you have eaten?

Pork sandwich.

The Clap for Carers/NHS every Thursday, do you still do it, or have you never done it?

I like the idea but it's too contrived now and I don't ever want to do anything that Boris Johnson does.

Those with little ones, how are they coping with no hugs from Grandparents, no school, not seeing school friends etc?

N/A

What colour sheets are on your bed?

Grey.

Anyone watched the series Fortitude, if so, is it worth a watch?

I don't watch TV.

What is you least favourite meat?

Duck. Incredibly overrated. Expensive and a pain in the arse to cook.

What's your favourite flavour of Pringles?

Paprika.

What do you miss most about matchdays? ( I could answer loads on this one )

My mates and it's killing me.

3am

Never done it - lots of people just want to be seen doing it - loads of other key workers too - also, it’s free but the help the NHS isn’t - more funding, fewer free gestures

Don’t see my kids
What colour sheets are on your bed?
White....with brown and red splashes
Anyone watched the series Fortitude, if so, is it worth a watch?
Very much so
What is you least favourite meat?
Fish
What's your favourite flavour of Pringles?
Would never choose Pringles - pork crunch every time

I just foresee the parts of my job I like (the travel, meeting people, new places and speaking) won’t be there even after then end of lockdown. I’ll be left with the parts I dislike (as I’m doing now), and frankly another 20 years of that can do one.

I’ve been thinking about what I could do as an alternative and frankly I’m a bit stumped. Even more so after reading that thread.

Did you come up with anything interesting? Be a big change to not be your own boss I think.

Came up with some interesting ideas and some radical stuff but wonder if it would be any sort of success. As a rule people hate employing people who have been their own boss as they feel intimidated, this is always misplaced thinking and a symptom of fear but it's a barrier to get over. If I had a choice I'd like to get into the commercial side of football analysis but timing isn't the best!

I think I'd be quite happy to have a boss and for them to deal with all the red tape and stuff people hate doing.

I'm 39 and other than being a shit writer I have no idea what I'm doing or meant to be doing.

One day someone will probably find a use for me.

I went through the whole of that reddit thread and the only one which grabbed me was Train Driver. I appear still be a 5 year old at heart :)

I now report into the bloke I used to manage, but there is no issue as I respect him, and he respects that I wanted to move away from responsibility and just sell part-time. Works well.

You're not a shit writer and you're a very good table reserver for match days...

I did see plenty of stuff I don't want to do. Chef, consultant, IT sales engineer.

I've never once known what I want to do. Other than being a footballer but I wasn't good enough to do that.

I'm not even sure I enjoy writing, it's a chore trying to be funny all the time. I don't enjoy translation either any more.

I have a lot of days where I think I'd rather be dead than alive. I don't have anything to live for. I'll probably pick back up but it's not a good time right now.

If its any consolation I enjoy reading your posts and blogs, and you have contributed to me bumbling along with this lockdown bollocks.

I've never met you but you seem to have a good support network of mates around you. It won't always be like this and you'll get to meet up with your pals again.

I'm also at a loss, I've had enough of my industry, 20 years of shit and sacrifice to be treated like an idiot. Really wish I'd retrained a few years back now

I’ve been all 3 of them, can heartily recommend finding an alternative.

Other than train driver what would you want to do if you could choose anything?

Strangely the people that were happiest on that thread were the nurses, doctors and teachers. They didn't seem to complain much about the pay either.

I'd probably go back to teaching, but I'd have to start at the bottom and the pay is not great.. Plus I do find teachers quite annoying.

I've been thinking about retraining as an accountant, watvhing Ozarks was an inspiration!

I'm good with numbers and can communicate them effectively to CEOs in a language they understand. Im less good with people and better off not being put in the front of house. I just wish I wasn't working in an industry in perpetual cycles of recession.

Not working for Wates are you?

Was surprised yesterday to see them as the first to blink on redundancies, would've thought the likes of Kier and Interserve are in a world of trouble but both seem to have been bobbing along in a particularly brown river for a good while now.

I don’t mind chef at all. If I lived my life again catering college would be seriously tempting. When I got out of the law it was the right thing for me. I was on the fast moped to ulcer city. Sure what I do now has lower pay but I enjoy most of my job and that is worth the smaller bank balance.

nah mate, although I'd heard Wates had a few bad jobs last year, but they always seem to fly under the radar. Think this would have happended with our without the crisis. Interserve had a clear out not long back and they did a fuck you to their creditors, think they're no longer on a knife edge. Keir are holding on I think, selling their HQ and all that will buy them some time

Oddly mine is because we are successful theres not much in the pipeline, workload just about guaranteed for 2021.

I'm fed up of the industry, there's some almighty bollocks spoken at all levels and I've had enough
