“We need unilateral British action, taken in the interests of British people. Peace in Northern Ireland is a British matter. Ultimately it does not concern the EU or the USA or even the Republic of Ireland. Northern Ireland is British. These external actors, who have been flattered by our engagement for far too long, must now be shown the door.”

It is frightening just how far from the truth this paragraph written by Brexit idiot Habib is.

“We know what we pay in tariffs, and it’s millions of euros, just for Fortuna – and that’s obviously scaled up across the industry so it would be, I would imagine, somewhere between €10m and €20m paid in tariffs across the sector, per year.

“We’re paying out millions of euros to EU customs that we weren’t previously, and never had before. It’s a substantial amount – just to give a little bit of context, the national government here has a budget of about £90m a year, so these are big numbers that are being extracted.”

Can Scotland hurry up and become independent and join the EU please

I have Welsh comfortably enough but makes no difference but am two generations out on the Irish bit (obscurely on my dad's side)

Don't flaunt your fake nationality at me (you know full well I miss being able to be "Irish" by a generation) :D

The number of British people being granted Irish citizenship has ballooned by almost 1,200 per cent since the UK voted to leave the European Union, according to official figures.

Days after Oscar-winning film producer David Puttnam was formally naturalised as an Irishman, citing how political agendas meant the UK was no longer “the country I was born into”, fresh data shows a big surge in his fellow former Britons also renouncing their UK citizenship in favour of becoming Irish and EU citizens.

That sounds like a mass exodus, until you read the numbers involved, originally 98 now 1191

Tbh, I’d renounce my uk citizenship in a millisecond if I qualified for another country, im too far removed from being “Irish” to get it

My blue passport arrived this morning. I can barely remember the last time I was blessed with one of these boons in my name, it may have only been for a short time after I had to come off my parent's passports. And I am fifty.

This is the sign of the demographic Farage was aiming at. They are going to die off at a higher rate than those that voted against them. That's just nature.

BREAKING: The European Union has launched new legal action against the UK for failing to stick to the Northern Ireland Protocol.
