This is a dangerous one. Dropping points against MK heaps even more pressure on these next few 'winnable' games if we want to save our season and start putting some sort of run together. Meanwhile, Rotherham look like they're on a run of their own with a new manager and two quality wins vs Leeds & Bristol City.

This is what I'd go with:

Ikeme

Iorfa Batth Williamson Golbourne

Byrne Price McDonald Graham

Alfie Afobe

Not that there's any chance of that happening. It'll be the same team as vs Ipswich & MK Dons with the possible exception of Martinez in for Ikeme (harsh on Carl but fair enough) and Ojo in for Graham (might not be at his best after the kicking MK Dons gave him).

My first trip to NYS so I'm looking forward to this one, my last game until the end of Jan as well.

I'd also pick this team, but also expect the same 11, with Henry and Edwards nailed on to play. I can see another 0 0

I liked the NYS, nice modern ground, not as plasticy as some new builds and a handy 10 minute walk from both town and the station. The only issue I had is when I went the police made us turn right and into their fans after the game which brought about a bit of teenage posturing from some on both sides, but no real trouble. Enjoy!

That's good to hear as my train back is at 17:07. Might have to leave a few minutes early.

Last year they had erected some temporary metal fencing to keep the fans apart at full time. Unfortunately our "yoof" decided to try and remove this barrier to little effect.

Agree with your team Lycan.
Agree with almost all the sentiment too.

worryingly, following the apathy discussions held at the weekend, I'm wondering how much I care.

(I say that, I'll be glued to the radio from 3pm saturday...)

Careful now, you might miss us having nine men behind the ball at 0-0 against a team in the bottom three.

I'll have your team which is the same one I wanted vs McDons but inexplicably we didn't get anything close to.

Yep...My first visit to Rotherham and I can't say I'm filled with too much confidence for a positive result. However I had the same feeling before my trip to Huddersfield last season and that turned out pretty well ;)
Same team as Lycan for me but we all know there is no chance of KJ picking it

I agree with above team selection but id be amazed if it is that, id also be amazed if we see more than two goals in this match. Seems a perfect time to do some jobs around the house whilst the games on.

Another vote for the obvious team selection...

We've been found out now and teams are pressing us high up the pitch resulting in us hoofing it up to a small striker.

Answer - play a big striker. Holt to partner ALF. Afobe on the bench to come on for the last half hour.

Would much rather we found a way to make a passing strategy go forward rather than sideways than bring in Holt & bang it skywards at him & would rather fail trying than go down that route.

If we went down that route then it would turn me off wanting to make the journey up (in some ways it is fortunate that this one is too far for me to contemplate so won't be faced with possibly experiencing dire football 2 weeks in a row)

I agree with you with regards to the hoofing, but don't think this is because we are being pressed. MK stood off us in the main on Saturday when we had the ball in our own half. It is however the default position for both keepers, Batth and EEL, less so Williamson and Hause. I wouldn't do it but I did say on the Derby verdict thread that if you are going to hoof the ball then you may as well sign a bump lump (this was before we bought Holt in).

If Grant Holt were any good then it might have merit. However he is not. You couldn't get the Express and Star under his feet when he 'jumps'.

I would go with this, surprisingly.

Kevin Kyle was the same. At a totally different level Hednesford have a player called Kyle Perry who does exactly the same thing, tries to flick the ball on from a standing position rather than jump and use his height

That the lad who was at Port Vale? Seem to remember him looking miles out of his depth.

That's the one, went there after Chasetown beat Vale in the Cup along with Chris Slater in one of those knee jerk kind of ways. Slater was back after a year or so, Perry has managed to stay at Conference level more or less until this season

I think we'll beat this lot, rumours of our demise have been somewhat exaggerated.

Thats what we want to here....C'MON WANDERERS, 4-0, Afobe hat trick...................probably a bit early to be getting so excited

I wouldn't back us to have four shots on target with the current style of play. It's bloody awful, makes Colin Lee look like Kevin Keegan.
