Rugby League Thread

Given the issues with positive tests and difficulties in rescheduling matches the RFL have agreed to base the league position on points percentage due to "possibility that not all clubs will be able to play the same number of matches".

Its been applied instantly with Catalans in 4th position now going top.

Top 4 will still contend play offs with a minimum 15 games played required

Rules around the salary cap have been relaxed to help teams cover players, but given that the sports on its arse not so sure that will help too many teams out.

Looking forward to next season tbf, this one is turning into a farce.

I've had no interest in watching since the restart - it's been garbage.

Have been enjoying the NRL when I can watch it on a weekend morning though.

I wouldnt say its been garbage! The NRL always looks a bit sexier though than Northern towns of England!

Is it FC or Rovers you follow?

Too be fair I just prefer the pace of the NRL.

I'm loosely a Rovers fan if I had to choose, they've been pretty poor apart from last week they did okay...

Yes that was a bit of a shocker!!

The NRL is good to watch, but then so is the Super Rugby tbf, I guess learning to play the game where its largely dry with hard pitches helps with catching the ball and staying on your feet.

They do love our forwards though!

Not caught any of the Catalan home games but watching it this afternoon I'm surprised that they've got a crowd in the stands.

Have the French given up on their restrictions?

Have you seen the Tour de France? On the hills there are still loads there.

Wigan have been poor. Breaks my heart to admit that Whinos have been so much better. Good game plan, field position and kicking.

I agree, Gale has his faults but when he's on form with his kicking hes pretty damn good.

Wigan have been awful, Lockers is a season or two past retirement and I'm not sure what Bibby does apart from keep Hastings happy. At least its not just Wolves I can be miserable about!

Yeah, relying on SO'L at the age of 37 is not good. He's an absolute legend and one of the best modern day forwards, but he breaks too easily now.

Whinos have simply bossed this from the kick-off.

Cherry on the cake, going to be nilled for the second game running

You're Batley aren't you, how are the clubs coping in the championship? Its on a knife edge at best for finances, this must be crippling the clubs

Close, there's someone else who I talk to who's Batley.

Telford have just pulled their kids for this weekend, I'm committed with mine at Union. Hope they manage to keep it going

Caught the Rob Burrow documentary on iplayer tonight. Bloody hell its a cruel disease, such a difficult watch to see how quickly he's deteriorated since his diagnoses. Its only 3 years since he played in the grand final and got a winners medal. A player who was always so tough to play against, its testament to what kind of a man he is that he's still thinking of other's.

Even if you don't like league, or rugby, its well worth a watch
