And that's the crux of the problem, your football club is your club and going to matches for the most part is something a lot have fans have done since they were kids and it's ingrained. It's a way of life. I'll take Cass as a prime example, started taking her at an early age and now she's completely hooked, she loves the day out and just 'being there' and is probably something she will take into her regular outgoings once she starts work, it's hard to break that because they're your club.
On my part it's 99% to keep her happy, I don't think any of us would want to let their kids down so there you go, proves your point. Yeah I'd miss going (I had a phase between 2002 - 2010 when I hardly went at all for differing reasons) and I really missed it but right now I genuinely couldn't give a fuck if I didn't make one match next season. That's what the club don't see, they don't see I don't care right now, they don't see I'm really stretching myself to keep my kid happy which in turn will play a small part in keeping a miniscule percentage of their future fanbase happy, and furthermore they don't give a fuck. That's what grates on me. The product is wank, the attitude towards me and every other person forking out to renew is wank and while I'd love this attitude to really bite them on the arse at some point I doubt it will.
Well said. FWIW I give a fuck and I'm happy you'll be there next season.

If you'd have actually come out and said it sooner I'd have renewed on the first day.

This is it. 34 years I've been going, I spend a sizeable amount of my day-to-day life talking about the club on various mediums, I used to write about us properly and may do again one day, I now live literally walking distance from the ground...so the fact they make me feel like this - and it isn't just me getting old and grumpy, though there probably is an element of that - through the shite football, uninspiring babbling manager, stupid prices and dreadful leadership should worry them. But it doesn't.

Probably the only way it changes with any speed is if we get relegated, and obviously I don't want that to happen. I'm not that much of a masochist that I hope we play Rotherham and Preston rather than Liverpool and Man Utd with the according drop in quality of Wolves players just to prove a point.

To be fair it's taken me longer than most to turn on Fosun, they really drew me in with the first three seasons under Nuno. I mean the annihilation of the Championship, the noise when we got back to the PL (I've never heard a crowd as loud as Boly's equaliser against City, Raul's against Liverpool or Doherty's winner against City) and the energy from the crowd was phenomenal, an FA Cup Semi, a European QF, it was unreal. We were going places.

But compare that to now, a totally unconvincing manager, players actively wanting to leave, the whole togetherness and feel good factor have gone, dead crowds. Because the club is just a symbol to Fosun and the fans are taken for granted. It fucking stinks. I loved the halcyon days of '87 through to '90 but this really topped the lot by a mile and now going to a game is nothing but a chore. I begrudge giving them my money but it's done now, 38 games to turn my head the other way again, not that they give a shit if I don't.

I've renewed, how could I not when I know I may get a brief sighting of Booz next season!

Like you always say though, if you want to go any particular game you can do, even the day before or morning of the game. You'll probably find it's a better experience just picking and choosing. Watch the rest on dodgy streams.

If I did that then I'd hardly ever go, unless Lage showed something markedly different to what he has so far or we sacked him. £40+ before I've even started the day, to watch us serve up total shit doesn't appeal.

If it's up front and I've paid for it then I've got to go.

I genuinely don't think I'd ever go again at £40 a pop. Incidentally, not directly comparable, but I've just bought an NFL ticket in the US, which was the cheapest you could get and direct for £90 - although the current exchange rate is shite

I paid $24 to watch a baseball game. It was just the minor league but got an all you can eat hotdog and mac n cheese buffet thrown in.

I paid $20 to watch the Yankees and have a trip around Manhattan on the Yankee clipper (a boat).

It was however 1999 and the exchange rate was roughly £1: $2

Think I paid $30 dollars when I did the Yankees game 6 years ago

It's bonkers you can watch the best team on the planet for so little compared to the NFL, NBA and PL.

So many more games a season though.

They do have around 500 home games a season though

162 games a season before play offs though isn't it? I've been to the Yankees vs Red Sox a couple of times at 2 different stadiums and neither were sold out

Really? Couldn't get tickets in 99/00 for any of those fixtures nor the post season.
