My eldest has made a few passing comments about a ST, it would be hard to turn down an offer of a ticket but I just can't justify it. I think I will renew the membership and just pick and choose games again.

I can’t afford it so definitely game over for me. I took auto renew off last week some time.

Apparently Leicester can win the FA Cup and reach a European semi-final with tickets behind the goal £134 cheaper than ours this season.

It's a complete strawman argument, no I don't expect to pay £349 for a ticket like I did in 2017. I want to know why the price has gone up quite a lot since 2019 when we're a worse team and the club hasn't spent any money.

Leicester fan on FF has said his ST has gone up
this year but it's been frozen for the last 8 seasons. Even after winning the league and having Champions League football they didn't rinse their fans.

I was speaking to an esteemed member of the forum on Sunday who is coming around to the idea. I think those of us who can afford to will in the main renew and hate ourselves for it.
I wouldn't say esteemed 😅

I am likely renewing, I would miss the day as a whole and seeing folk. Was a good evening knocking back Thatchers Haze with DW and Lycan on Sunday

Just went through my emails and they have auto renewed me...
If you've paid direct debit last year they will have done (as they have me). As per the initial e-mail you can still cancel by e-mailing them with your details before the 8th June.

Have the club actually made any comment whatsoever about why they are whacking up prices again? At least last time vinny sat down and talked some bollocks. .

Not that I have seen through official channels. The words benchmark and Aston Villa will appear after they lumped 10% on their prices so Vinny can say he is on the side of our fans.

It also looks like the wording suggests they have a huge amount of space for new STHs even with chunks of the ground shut. So their core support have drifted off in droves. They have to do something I guess.

I didn't realise that cash for places is so high, each place in the league represents 2.2million quid!

So it begs the question why are the club so keen to put the prices up for an extra million quid, yet they are happy for us to give John Ruddy a "farewell" game that might end up costing us at least 1 place and 2.2million quid?

(not that he was particularly at fault for the goal, although i feel Sa would have saved it, but the point remains)

I wavered slightly but renewed ours. Will definitely be moving to the North Bank from the SBU though (concourse space/facilities being the reason, plus the fact that the codgers around us are knee-booing dinosaurs).

The option to pay by direct debit without additional costs probably swung it. Let's me pretend the value of the debt is being inflated away somewhat.

80% of the value back for re-sold tickets is also better. My attendance was v patchy this year <50% due to a new baby, but I never bothered to sell back to the club because it wasn't worth it for 50% Wolves cash. Preferred to give my ticket away.

Just a general note on reselling tickets via the club. The tickets only go on sale once all other tickets have been sold (Inc Graham Hughes).

My bro chased them to find out why our tickets weren't available to buy for the City game and that was what we were informed!

I suppose the club makes less money by giving you cash for your seats when compared to getting all of the funds from seats available that aren't held by STH's.

Just had this email

"In just over a week since the season ticket renewal period began, half of all season ticket holders have now renewed their seat for the 2022/23 season, making this the second fastest season ticket renewal since the club’s promotion to the Premier League in the 2018/19 season"

Thing is are they counting the automatic renewals in that?
