So taking the info YW posted on trust, we don't have Neves or Neto so I'll predict

---------------------Rui-----------------
-------Boly------Coady------Sais
--Semedo---Donck----Moutinho----RAN
--------Podence--------Jose--------Traore

Positions may change, but I think that'll be the 11.

I'd like to see the below, but won't
-----------------------Rui-----------------
--Semedo----Coady----Boly----RAN
-------------Donck----Vitinha----------
-----------------------MGW--------------
----Podence--------Jose--------Traore

Don't mind Team 2 but would be picking Fabio instead. What's the point picking José, we're safe, we aren't signing him, he isn't very good or contributing much (and this is when he's had two slightly better games of late). Whereas Fabio has a goal and a top quality assist in a week.

Don't give me this "better off the bench", "tired defenders" stuff either, that never stacks up in reality.

2020/21: W 2-0 (A)
2019/20: D 1-1 (H), L 0-1 (A)
2017/18: W 3-0 (H), L 0-2 (A)
2013/14: W 2-0 (H), W 2-0 (A)
2008/9: D 1-1 (H), W 3-1 (A)
2007/8: D 0-0 (H), L 1-3 (A)
2005/6: D 0-0 (H), L 0-1 (A)
2004/5: W 4-2 (H), D 3-3 (A)
2002/3: L 1-3 (H), D 3-3 (A), W 3-0 (A, P/O, N)
2001/2: W 1-0 (H), D 2-2 (A)
2000/1: D 0-0 (H), L 0-1 (A)
1999/0: W 1-0 (H), L 0-3 (A)
1998/9: W 2-1 (H), D 1-1 (A)
1997/8: D 0-0 (H), L 0-1 (A)
1996/7: L 1-2 (H), W 3-2 (A)
1995/6: W 1-0 (H), L 1-2 (A)
1994/5: D 2-2 (H), D 3-3 (A)

Crikey, I have seen some truly dismal games against these.

And a couple of good ones , the injury time comeback with De Wolf and Emblen, and the Play Off final for 2.

(not that the former was a particularly good game, but the comeback was)

In light of the news and assuming we don't lose any more,

............................Rui
Semedo.....Coady...Boly....RAN
............Donk..............Moutinho/Vitinha (half each)
.....Podence.......MGW........Traore
............................Silva

That 0-3 at Brammell Lane in 1999 was my first away game with friends, rather than my old man. What a great game to pick. Pretty sure we saw us draw at Albion and lose at Tranmere and Stockport before Christmas that year too

Also fond of Bully's last minute goal in the 3-2 win up there in 1997 (celebrated by showing a "Make Mine A Double" t-shirt as we'd just beaten Albion for the second time). Peach of a free kick from Osborn in that game too.

Went to that 0-3, I'd just moved to Manc and as a naive 18 year old thought getting from there to Sheffield by train would be well easy, it's not very far.

It isn't as the network is a disaster, we were awful and Akinbiyi missed an open goal from two yards.

God that was a shit game, freezing cold and it felt like for 85 ninutes it was just the keepers punting back and forth to one another

A fantastic 50 yard ball/a desperate hoof from Ady Williams to set up that Bully goal!

I admit I was one of the 1000's on my way out at 0-2.

Only game I've ever left early was Palace away on a midweek as if I didn't, no train home for me. We were losing and playing like shit anyway.

Was tempted when Keet Andrews of all people put Albion 4-1 up, but no.

Only game my dad wanted to leave early was the sheff Wednesday shoot out. He said "I don't want to see them go out like this", and me, all of 12 or 13 said "They've played really well over the two games and made us proud, the least we can do is clap them off".

I know it's not relevant but I still remember that fondly.

Rui
Semedo Coady Boly RAN
Donk Mout
Adama MGW Pod
Silva

Same team as sickoffanta

Martin Smith doing bits for them. IIRC he then moved to Huddersfield and scored two in a 3-0 up there too. Might even have been the same season.

We lost 2-0 at Hudds in the March of that season with Smith scoring two.

We lost 3-0 up there the season after and an on-loan from Blues Peter Ndlovu ripped us to bits.

Like an idiot I went to both.
