Sheffield United 1 - 0 Wolves: The Verdict

Tbf I'd have taken this position with four games to go at the start of the season!

Also good opportunity for us this weekend and midweek to make things a lot easier for us with the next two fixtures Arsenal and Sheffield United have
I'd rather be in our position than anybody else we're currently competing with but I am worried. Burnley are only 3 points behind us now in 10th. I never really thought Champions League was ever a possibility, not with the form United have or the fixtures Leicester/Chelsea still have to play, but I would be absolutely devastated if we dropped out of Europe entirely. Watching Wolves in Europe this season has been one of the best experiences of my Wolves supporting life, whether that's watching us play Bohemians in a fucking sauna at Molineux, an epic couple of nights in the rain in Porto/Braga, a dirty, dirty few days in Barcelona or watching Wolves Vs Olympiacos in a packed bar in Athens. I don't want us to finish fucking 9th. We're better than that.

I think 7 points will be enough personally. We do need to perform better and quickly, understand the worry, let's just hope Nuno can turn it around quick enough.

As of this evening there are 5 times that should be on the metaphorical beach. We are playing 2 of them

You can't expect Everton under Ancelotti to be 'on the beach'. They've been decent since lockdown a d it'll be another tight game.

Burnley are 3 points behind us.

We've struggled against Palace since we were promoted, even the game we won we were under the cosh for large periods.

Chelsea... Hopefully their position is secured by the time we play them. Don't fancy going to the Bridge in need of 3 points though.

Everton and Palace are both now in no mans land along with Newcastle, Southampton and Brighton. There's no real guarantees, but they are the teams you'd traditionally rather play at this time of year, although there's more of a crowd less drag on the bottom sides than normal.

Don't think Everton have been that good, they were truly abject vs Spurs. Played pretty well vs Leicester but Norwich are the only other team they've beaten. Didn't see tonight's game.

Palace have lost four on the spin.

Burnley have Liverpool at the weekend, Sheffield United have Chelsea whilst Tottenham have Arsenal. If we get 3 points we should be well clear of 3 of the sides below us.

I will breathe a hell of a lot easier if we can get 3 points against Everton.
