We have a game, an actual competitive game of football, in 7 x days time! So I thought I'd fire this one up now. Obviously a lot can change in a week, but no idea if any signings made this week will be fit and ready to feature as soon as Monday.

It's so weird to think our season starts on Monday and most of our squad haven't reported back for training yet. It's also going to be extremely odd going in to the season having had no pre-season matches etc. I'm expecting a very slow start to the season in terms of pace and sharpness. Other clubs have had weeks to prepare and I worry for us on that front. I think I read Liverpool were off to Austria on pre-season training a week after we finished our Europa League campaign - how can you compete against that?! Anyway, unprecedented times etc.

My starting 11 as it stands right now -

I think it'll be 352 especially if Adama is RWB so Donck for Podence. I think we'll probably lose due to being undercooked/stitched up by the PL

On the undercooked front, of the 9 players on International duty Coady, Vinagre, Neves, Patricio, Traore and Donck haven't played so far. Neto played 58 mins, Moutinho 81 and Jota the full game

With it being such an odd pre-season and we have had 5 mins between Seville and Sheff Utd, playing games might not be vital. At least those on international duty are training rather having their feet up.

Could be an interesting start for a lot of teams with the odd nature of what can jokingly be called pre-season this time around

Burnley aside (lets be honest it’s not really a bad call), he’s still one of the best refs and would have him over Coote, Banks, Moss, Atwell etc.

He's showbiz and all that but I think he makes mostly the right calls (and it was a pen vs Burnley).

Just look at the Porto U23 team and put 8 of them in

I'd expect Saiss to be in defence for this. Depending on formation it will either be Donck and Jota or 2 from Jota, Podence, Neto and Traore.
As for WB..........anybody's guess
