Sheffield Utd (A) - Verdict thread, 14/09/20

Bloody love Every Angle when we score a goal like that. But Coady clearly not fit - he wasn't the first player to reach Raul!

Additional things I like about that goal

1) Marcal's header down to Neto
2) Although I have seen it a thousand times, I still love Donck's running style. No one that rigid should move that quickly

Jiminez took that goal really well , but crikey the marking by Sheffield was dreadful . They simply were not expecting it that early it seemed . Big praise to Podence too in the move .

That pass out to Podence from Moutinho is a thing of beauty. In fact the whole goal is, Podences burst of acceleration to ride the tackle, then that finish from Jimenez.

I do love football when its fast flowing and skilful like that.

It was like a goal from Fergie's first great United team (peak Giggs, Kanchelskis, Cantona etc). Defence to goal in seconds.

Think they were also distracted by the run from Neto too, which was another brilliant aspect of the goal, as they were probably expecting Podence to feed him in rather than play across the box

So was I, I went mental at the telly when I saw that cross floated across :icon_lol:

Yeah it definitely felt like that, although I would have never admitted it at the time I really did like that first team Fergie put together, so much pace.

Think that's a great analogy. Used to leave watching that team with Giggs and Kanchelskis bombing down the wings - they were like birds of prey, swooping down.
