It needs to be both. You need the CBs stepping into the space. Having 3 players holding hands on the half way line looking after 1 player means you’re going to struggle/find impossible to create overloads or keep the pressure on and keep them penned back. Will be too easy for opposition to get out as pitch isn’t condensed and not enough players to press.

I don't understand Coady's non involvement. If it was due to the number of days in isolation required, then that would have been known at the outset. Surely missing a few days training wouldn't have meant his total exclusion either

I’m surprised Marcal hasn’t got the nod ahead of Ait-Nouri. Nice little confidence booster for the young lad there - hopefully we see more of a Palace performance than a Leicester one from him.

The rest of it is about as good as we can field, based on the players missing. Missing a big vocal presence at the back without Coads, which is slightly concerning.

It should be a good open game, looking at the sides.
