Ruddy

Dendoncker Coady Kilman

Semedo Neves Vitinha Hoever

Adama Willian José Neto

3 changes for me. Ruddy because he seems to be the 'cup' keeper again, as much as I disagree with it there's no point arguing the point now. Hoever for Jonny, give the wee man a week off, maybe bring him on later in the game and then start him on Sunday. Vitinha for Moutinho, partly because I'd like to see Moutinho given a bit of a break, he's been in much better form the last few games and we're going to need him to continue that for the rest of the season and at his age that's not going to happen if we overplay him. I'd also just like to see how Vitinha would fare next to Neves in a 3-4-3.

Wouldn't be surprised to see Saiss instead of Kilman. Presuming he is fit and not another injured but on the bench moment

Ruddy

Hoever - Coady - Kilman - Richards

Vitinha - Neves

Corbeanu - MGW - Neto

Jose

Or if we stick with 3 CBs:

Ruddy

Lonwijk - Coady - Kilman

Hoever - Vitinha - Neves - Richards

MGW

Jose - Silva

I fear it's the latter or at least was yesterday. The more obvious sub for Jonny you'd have thought

Ruddy
Donk Coady Kilman
Semedo Neves Otasowie Hoever
Traore Jose Neto

Bit conflicted with this game, we've not much else to play for this season so would like to go strong but both Neto and Traore looked absolutely tatered by 70 minutes against Leicester and we don't have any options wide...could start them and take them off early I suppose. I'd be interested to see how Donk and Kilman would go in a back 4. Would like to see Gibbs-White at 10 but think Nuno prefers Vitihna. Don't mind who starts up top.

Think this will be the shape but Saiss may get some game time having been injured, doubt Vitinha will play in that position and think Silva might be given a start.

I worry about Neto playing every game at the moment so if there was a way to give him a breather I would, doubt it though.

I'd start Silva for this one. I'd also be looking to give Adama & Neto no more than 60/65 minutes. But I don't know how we do that

Edit. MGW and someone out of position / Corbeanu is the only way I can see that happening so I don't think it will

Just to point out we can make 5 subs again in the cup. A 6th in ET if we get there (and 2 additional concussion subs I believe is now in place too).

And Del Wop points out, we've got nothing else to play for this year so let's go full strength.

Yeah would like to see Otasowoe in this and Neto rested, but I would keep Traore in and go as strong as possible baring rotated keeper.

4 at the back for me, agree with Del that this is an important game. Giving Jonny the first half again and subbing Neto asap

Don't be messing about with this game, the league season is essentially done, won't finish 7th or above, absolutely will not go down. Ask Arsenal how that ended up for them.

TWF loves Otasowie! He's barely got on the pitch in six weeks and hasn't done *that* much overall. His most noteworthy contribution is one of the misses of the season.

I was happy with the 5 against Leicester. We played it better than we have done in ages (still not getting enough men in the box, but Traore and Semedo literally could have done if they were arsed).

If that’s what we’re planning to play for a while then may as well stick to it, particularly with Podence and Boly out.

If give Jonny another 45 at least, Ruddy will play, and then unchanged elsewhere as well, we don’t really have much else.

I think we can afford to look at fringe players when the rest of the team is close to full strength.

There's a difference between saying you love a player and just wanting to see more of them so you can make your mind up
