Summer 2021 transfer window

Don't think Neves lack of pace is an issue in his position, personally I think he'd slot straight into Man U, City, Liverpool and several clubs abroad....I'd be amazed if he went for much less than 50 mill
Neves has been amazing for us and this season he’s probably been a 6.5/10 player in a team that is 15th in the Premier League.

He’s not a £50m footballer.

Going upwards from 7th is pretty tough though.

Our fans are wankers, we know this, we have known this for decades.
I don't think our fans are any different to any other club (with the exception of Utd and Liverpool).

We do have a lot of loudmouths on Twitter but I think that's just kids in the main.

Agree on both counts. I want us to continue performing like in the previous two seasons of course, they have been fantastic - but I'm genuinely baffled by the expectation (trying not to use the word entitlement) of some. It generally seems to be young idiots on twitter but it still bothers me! They call Nuno/Fosun frauds etc. They really don't know how good we've had it the last four seasons!
i think a number of people read and believed what fosun said at the time of the take over and subsequently. I am quoting from memory here but i think it was along the lines of being around the top of the premier league and competing for europe. Of course it doesnt have to be a linear progression but i feel that if we dont see a significant investment in the first team at the next transfer window one would have to question whether fosun have, for whatever reasons, shifted their objectives.

I have high standards for Nuno and Fosun, but I feel that's based on how excellent they've been for us, rather than unrealistic entitlement, and I hope it comes across that way more often than not.

I think some of this season's issues and our likely dip in finishing placement have been of our own making, but also it's highly unusual in football to have an unbroken upward trajectory season after season after season if you're not an elite club spending loads of money.

I disagree, I think this has been Neves's best Prem season.
I agree with this, him and Neto have been our only bright spots.

I think he's better as a CM rather than deeper as his quick passing and control are superb further forward.

I think he's be a better player with an attacking midfielder like Tielemans and a proper ball winning DM like Ndidi behind him.

If I was Brodge I'd be putting some serious money into buying Neves this summer.

Predates Twitter.

Our fans are shite.

I doubt it's a Wolves thing, we are just more exposed to them

one more thing.... they really dont know how good we've had it over the last four seasons. That of course is an understandable, fans way of looking at it but i am not sure fosun will see it that way if their objective is to be around the top of the premier league competing for europe.

Remember the last game we all ever went to in the heady days of 2020, remember how Vinagre got treated.

Remember how Andy Keogh got treated.

I agree that he’s been one of two good players - and I’d say my 6.5/10 would probably be as good as it gets fit any of them this year.

Can’t see Neves going to Leicester. As much as it’s a step up, it’s probably not the step up he’d be looking to move for.

My first exposure to Wolves fans being shits was when they booed Bully against Bolton in the Cup (when we all expected to be playing Liverpool, but David Lee played like peak George Best at Anfield)

They should have been booing Beasant (they probably did by the end of that game actually)

"Bring more young local kids through"

"We'll always back them if they give 100%"

I give you Mr Lee Naylor.

And MGW, i don't think we are any different to other clubs though.

Actually in saying that, i always think that Albion fans are neither as toxic when things are going bad, or as passionate when things are going well.

Oh aye, we'd be going livid if we had ownership like that.

Batth got treated like shit too.

I'm not sure I buy this "we're no different" thing, I think our fanbase is pretty horrible on the whole.
