Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Because having lost Tarkowski and Collins they'd need a CB, Sanderson did well at Blues and Sunderland, is fairly young and could represent good value?
Kompany is raiding City's youth team. Sanderson was in and out of the QPR team at the end of last season. I think he'll be a solid Championship player, but not sure he's at the incentive to do a deal level for a team who'll be looking to be Top 2

We won’t sign Collins, because,
1, not Portuguese
2. Not a Mendez client
3. Signing him would involve actually spending money and we don’t get involved in that sort of thing

Yeah tbf isn't a bad shout. Sanderson has proven he's Championship capable I would say now. And is still young enough to improve with more regular games I think to add consistency to his game.

Not that these type of deals tend to actually happen that often.

Collins would cost us about £15m. Burnley signed him for £12m and they want their money back. At that price I would snap their cock off. He's not a very "Wolves" signing, but he'd improve us straight away and would also allow us to move to a back 4, if required.

With each day that passes, and I appreciate its rumours, but it doesn’t sound like he wants to come here. So begs the question, how long will we waste on this if it’s just not going to happen?

Would love a signing to get over the line this week. The players are back next week, I think? So much for Lage wanting all the signings done before pre-season kicks off. Another firm kick in the bollocks for him!

Thing is pretty much no-one does that, ever. He's just talking bollocks again.

Look at us in 2017, brand new manager with a huge profile relative to where we were, some headline grabbing signings, more money than anyone else in the division. Still didn't sign a striker until one day before the opening game of the season.

Jota and Hoever were seperate deals. We asked for him, when they wanted Jota, but he wasn't a makeweight, we wanted him!

Why would Burnley want Sanderson?
Doesn't matter if he was a makeweight or not, it's the model that's better from an ffp perspective.

Sanderson is a decent, young CB who is relatively proven at Championship level. Did well at Blues and alright at QPR.

If Nunes turns us down relatively soon then I can live with it, as we’ve sorted out the deal as well as we could and he just said no. If it rumbles on for a few more weeks and we don’t do anything about other targets then that’s just another complete nonsense from the guys in charge here.

Sounds like he's turned us down already.

It's just the papers trying to build a story for clicks.

Best ignored.

If the squad returns as it was (apart from the players that have gone) I don't see the point in keeping Lage.

May as well bin him now as his performance with these players last half of the season was appalling and it's difficult to see how that would change.

If he's unsure, but there's a chance that we could win him round, then we should throw everything we've got at him.

If he flat does not want to come here, we need to cut our losses and move on.

Probably not as simple as him saying ‘No, I’m never signing for wolves’ which is why nearly every contract is negotiated over a period of time. If it’s still being pursued then he’s not said he won’t come, just that we aren’t close enough on the terms yet.

He.wasn't.a.makewight.

Jeez, pretend he was then if that makes it easier for you, it's the kind of deal we'd want rather than part-ex.

It's the execution rather than the motivation I'm trying to highlight.

Nixon (yes I know) reckons they want £40m.

They're not in great shape off the park but I don't see them wanting to punt on one of their few sellable assets for a £3m profit.

Seen reports that Burnley want £25million for him, which means they have doubled their money in 12 months
