Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Espanyol (obviously didn't matter as we won the first leg 4-0).

The bigger crime from that game was us robbing another club's goal music. Get in the sea.
I felt there was a hint of irony with us stealing that song though, they were playing it whilst being 4-1 down, so to the fans in the ground who were all lashed up and happy, it must have been fun. It wasn't stolen because it is a good piece of music, it isn't.

Was about to say I'd be seething if we sell RAN at this point when we still have a bunch of dross to clear out. But, given the way we're heading, he will likely be going sooner rather than later.

Going to have to learn to get less attached to players, unfortunately.

I tried watching the Lage chapter of Ask Wolves on Saturday and gave up half way through. Lots of words, very little sense.
😀 try it with subtitles. Hilarious, but entertaining.

Worst thing about it was the Chelsea fans singing back at us when Podence's goal was ruled out.

Spiers has tweeted that Marquinhos has joined Arsenal. We apparently were so far down the line in terms of signing him that a loan to Grasshoppers was already being lined up, so we've sought legal advice.

That will probably be the last we ever hear of that. Very unusual set of circumstances.

Going to really depend on what he may or may not have signed or undertakings given by his representatives. Going to be a touch murky, methinks.

I'm not sure what the situation with Grasshoppers is. I think I read somewhere that from this coming season we can only loan them three players at a time. We've already got Jeong and Kawabe there for 2022/23.

Could always sell them the latter for a nominal fee I suppose because I find it very unlikely that he'll ever play for us, weird deal from a club who do a lot of weird stuff lately.

I think we would sell rather than loan, at really low fees, with guaranteed buybacks at our option rather than obligation for the same fee. Think a lot of clubs will go down this route to get around the loan limits.

Makes a mockery of the whole rule really

Of course it does, and it took me about a minute to think it up. Shows how swiss cheese the whole proposal is.

Be better if they just limited how many professionals (over the age of 21 maybe) you can have, perhaps? As the main issue is clubs hoarding players I’d say. No idea if that’s even legal though

Palhinha is €20m less what Sporting owe us for Vinagre, isn't he? I don't even rate him and I'd do that deal.

I don't think there's anything at all in the Seferovic story, it's reheated crap from that photo a couple of weeks ago.

Not heard of him but his record looks pretty tasty
