Summer 2022 Transfer Window

Can’t help but think the whole thing is bollocks.

Not even Wolves could be so stupid as to send someone halfway across the world to try and sign someone who is completely unavailable.
As I said, a load of bollocks.

All Twitter bullshit.

The majority of the decent deals we have done in the last few years have come completely out the blue.

Rumours of 20m for mgw from forest. That'd be difficult to turn down imho
That's been on the table pretty much since they got promoted. I'd reject it if the plan is to use him behind the forward(s) if not then bleed as much as we can out of them and do the deal. My guess is he'll want the move - pretty local, similar size club with a feel good factor, a manager who he knows and believes in him and no baggage. Tbh I would if I were him

Could have saved himself time downloading the image and just typed "Look at Me".

So much of the Wolves related social media shit this time of year is universally "Santa Claus you cunt, where's my fucking bike". It's fucking boring when "Christmas" isn't even fucking here yet.

As has been said, if he won’t sign a new deal then we have no choice but to sell.

I personally dont think he quite has what it takes to be a good top half performer as I don’t think his feet can quite do what his brain would like them too and then lacks pace to make up for that. I don’t think he is as good as James Maddison is/was for example.

However I’d prefer to find out how good he is. Paricularly when we have no players and aren’t exactly very good at recruiting players who we can be confident are going to be at least a 6/10. Even if he’s a bottom half performer I still think he fetches £15m+ so I don’t think there’s a huge amount to gain by selling him now all things considered and quite a lot to lose. Has to sign a contract though.

Yeah, that one was just a joke, take it that way. Not everyone is a Jinky...

You seem tense [insert Johnny's funny gif here]

Not especially. Maybe over the last couple of years but I think that’s fair when the majority of that time has been abject failure after abject failure (on the transfer front).

I’m definitely not the only person who’s critical of the clubs business either, but I’m sure as hell the only one you call out. Make of that what you will 🤷‍♂️
You definitely seem to express your hatred of the club more than the average fan. Which is interesting given how much of an apologist you were under McCarthy/Morgan.

Bale signing for Cardiff? I don't care how old he is, if he's willing to take that much of a pay cut, he could surely do a job for us.

Bloke has given up on the club stage sadly. Only about Wales and Golf and being close to home.

The 'calm down its not even July yet' narrative seems to forget they've been saying that for six successive windows.
The idiots that say that in January..

I would have expected a signing or 2 this month but happy to wait an extra few weeks if the quality of the signing is high.
We have to sign some but confidence in our transfer crew is low.

Certainly going to be more on edge this window simply because we have a reduced squad and still more likely to go.

He is just passing time to get to the World Cup. So going home and will probably retire to the golf course after it.

Our first team football operations team are a proven shambles
Yeah. I’ve tended to be someone who says to judge the recruitment at the end of the window but as Kenny says there’s more work to do than usual already and people are losing faith in the competency of those in charge. Which is completely understandable really. You’d hope we start to see something concrete in the next ten days though

I love him for Wales but would hate to have him at the Wolves. Same goes for Ramsey.

Careful…

You can take things on face value and suggest we are looking to sign players who aren't interested in signing for us, or just look at the facts which say thus far we haven't signed anyone and are now in the minority of teams in the PL in that position despite having months to prepare. Either way it amounts to the same thing

It's always a fine line for instance I have no idea about the 3 players Leeds have brought in, they may all be useless, but the activity brings with it positivity. If we had a recent proven track record I think people would be less anxious/resigned/pissed off/angry - where you are is dependant on the individual- I'm in the resigned camp, There is also a reasonable smattering of wait and see/it'll be alright on the night as shown by Paddy in the case of the former. I'd like to be one of those people but precedent says it's unlikely to be. It's highly likely to be Mendes or bust...again

I've become like quite a few people now I think, where I simply have absolutely no faith that the people running the club have a goddam clue what they're doing. We're going to run around chasing after players we have no hope of signing and end up getting no-one worth a damn by the time the window is coming to a close. Than we'll panic buy absolute shit like Hwang and say "Well we tried our best".

It's a pattern we're all too familiar with and until they prove otherwise I don't see any reason to think this window will be any different to the previous 6. Our club is run by absolute fucking morons.

Leeds have obviously used their managers connections to get transfers done. An American and players from Germany/Austria. He will also have been privy to Red Bulls extensive scouting network.

Our manager doesn’t have any connections we don’t already have. Portugal and Benfica’s youth team.
