Summer 2022 Transfer Window

It’s being reported that Forest are closing in on a deal for MGW for £20m.

Looks a logical move good chance of MGW playing and working with a coach he’s worked with before.

...by Nixon, although a stopped clock and all that.

Also says we are after Roberts to go with Collins. He'd be an ok squad option, but another right back isn't a priority unless one of Semedo/RAN/Jonny are leaving

Jonny has fallen out with Lage so I wouldn't be surprised if he tells him to fuck off.

Still means we don't need another RB as we have Bolla and Lembikissa coming through.

We do need another LB if Jonny goes.

£20m for MGW would be a bad mistake, would look like fools by the end of next season.

If he won't sign a contract/wants to go I don't see we have much choice. No doubt he's been managed badly over the last couple of years from a Wolves asset perspective.
If we actually made the most him for a season he'd soon change his mind. With the amount of dicking about the kids had in the last few years you can't blame him for wanting a fresh start though.

While we are forced to use this sell to buy model we can't have players constantly entering the last year of their deals. If MGW won't sign a new deal this summer he needs to be sold.

I'm not going to quote myself from earlier in the week, but there are too many positive variables for him not to want the Forest move imo. Particularly when you contrast those against the negative way he feels about various aspects at Wolves

He'll cost £23m in the end as we aren't hitting the add ons to make the £30m+ number, which according to Spiers were linked to Wolves' progression in Europe

He's a decent full back, shame we don't play with full backs
was it not £29 rising to £36 ish?

And if it is £23m then where’s the money gone Jeff…

What the living FUCK is that doing on the main site of a Premier League football club?! And written in such a terribly earnest style as well. It's like bad fan fiction from a 12 year old wrestling fan come to life.

(They have some extra written Wolves-based content at the moment that is so bad that I haven't commented on it purely as I think it'd just be mean, and I'm not mean for the sake of it. But it really is bad)

In more prosaic matters, they never properly announced season ticket prices for existing ticket holders. They haven't announced them for new customers either. And we sold a player this month, guess what? Didn't announce it. Two of our first team players left on a free and told everyone they were leaving before the club got round to it.

Their communications are a disaster zone.
I’m surprised there wasn’t more reaction to this!

For the first and only time ever, I clicked on the esports link.

The whole thing is an unmitigated amateur shambles. I’m embarrassed to be associated with it in any way.

I accidentally clicked the wolves records link and that is far, far worse. It reminds me of the mid 1990s where half the links on the web had a yellow ‘men at work’ under construction image.

I would make a website that bad public if I was building it for a local jumble sale.

That's the level of their football 'content' at the moment. Cribbed straight from Wiki and a terrible standard of writing. Not even five minutes work, no insight, no value. Even as stock filler, absolutely shite. I wouldn't have that as GCSE Media Studies level.

They could easily find people to write the same stuff for free on an exposure only basis, and it'd be 100 times better. But they know best.

Fosun have checked out, this season we'll slide back down and to top it all, we'll have a baggie reporting on our demise for the athletic.

Lets not forgot grasshoppers sacked some key backroom staff and still haven't replaced them either.
