Summer 2022 Transfer Window

There'd be no value for Ruben in setting it that high, a) no-one would pay it b) in the unlikely event someone did, we'd take it regardless, clause or no clause. It'd be £40-50m if we did it that way.
I dunno. City paid a £100m release clause for Grealish. If someone wants Neves bad enough they’ll pay £75m.

I’d be very disappointed if it’s as low as £50m.

But it's pointless. We'd accept that anyway.

If he's signing a new deal then it has to be in his interest. I think we'd have taken £50m this summer but no-one has bid, why would it be set a whole 50% higher than that?

The alternative is he doesn't sign a new deal and next summer he has one year left and can talk to foreign clubs about moving for free in January 2024.

You just set any release clause as high as the player will accept. That way everyone is happy and we get as much as possible or keep him.

Thing is, neves will want a lower one as it’s more likely a top club would bid 50 rather than 70.

Although, if that in a roundabout way means we value him
The same as MGW…

That would be a bloody dream come true

Also mine, usually I would rubbish that but Football Italia is the source I previously mentioned as having stated he wanted to stay in Italy.

The club has received half a billion pounds give or take since promotion and yet we have an utter embarrassment of a subs bench with an average age of about 13. I appreciate I posted our first substitutions bench earlier but that illustrates how little we've added in depth during that time.

Lage is only getting my support if he continues to champion signings upto and past the deadline. If he suddenly comes out with a change of messaging like he has before then he can go after we lose to Newcastle. He needs to accept the inevitability of his position that he can be sacked for insubordination or sacked when his shithouse owner needs a fall guy.

Go out with some self respect.

Shi’s panicked and he’s going to spunk £50m on Guedes, you watch.

He's available for 20 so that would be a bit daft. He's completely average though so God knows why we'd even pay that.
