So our solution to Nunes rejecting us is to try again. Solid plan. There must be a midfielder somewhere in the world not called Nunes we could try and sign surely.

He hasn't rejected us has he? I fully expect he will if we have a bid accepted by Sporting (we haven't as yet). Nothing has got that far down the line yet.

I don't mind them trying, he's obviously a good player. But I hope there are Plans B/C/D/E in Jeff's desk drawer.

Too much smoke/fire for me. We're definitely interested in him, but we're going to do the classic Jeff tactic of chase him throughout the window and then we'll do a token loan offer for someone like Harry Winks on the final day of the window when they finally accept defeat with Nunes & we'll end up with the same three midfielders that we had for the whole of last season.
