Summer 2022 Transfer Window

That Pedro said we'd offered €5m loan and €30m obligation, so can't be too far away from a deal, you'd think
He did also say that the offer was a while back, and that there hadn't been any movement for a while, so who knows?

i think with ramos (and have read this somewhere but can't remember where), Benfica want to hang onto him until the CL qualifying has finished which i think is next wednesday (24th?)

Bruno worked with Ramos, so there is a chance of that deal. Crikey, it's like xmas!

You'd hope the more quality players we buy (and retain), the more attractive a proposition we become.

Unfortunate it took so many transfer windows to wake from our slumber, but at least things are moving now

Signing Nunes is clearly fantastic news for all of us .

However Nunes driving forward and creating extra chances is of little use if we have no natural goal scorer up front . It also has to be a striker that will score in the Premier League and has the right attitude - look at Nunez last night , a big of niggle from the defender and he loses the rag .
Ramos is a tad inexperienced maybe .

I must be in some parallel universe where we create loads of chances and are missing multiple sitters per game. The reason we don't score is because we create so few real chances, we have probably created 2 you'd expect someone to score in 2 games so far (donk 1v1 miss and MGW miss.)

I hope Nunes' head is straight though and realises the quickest way to get to one of the clubs he really wants to be at is by performing well for Wolves
I hope Wolves turn into one of the clubs he really wants to be at.

Is he a reliable journo, and what’s the scoop on ramos?
Yes he is. Broke the Nunes news first.
I'm happy that we now have an team with a much lower average age, meaning players (Moutinho aside) can build partnerships for longer than they could with older players.

Does rather indicate why we were pushing so hard to only give Moutinho one extra year on his contract instead of two. Transition year to bring in Nunes, let some of the kids keep developing as well, and then wave goodbye to Joao in a year's time when the assumption is we won't need him any more.

Yes, I was just reading the same. I'm ashamed to say where.

Last game I think we had - Hwang 1v1, Neto 1v1, Neto open goal followed by Pod shot dragged wide, MGW open goal

Should we get Ramos in and Fabio kicks on from a stellar (hopefully!) loan at Anderlecht that is post-Raul forward options that will last a decade.

Proper future-proofing.

I'll be confident that we have Nunes when the ink is dry on the contract.. not before

MGW, and Neto's were a tad harfer thaan Open Goals in Neto's case the defender came across with a great saving tackle.
MGW was at full stretch flying across would have been a great finish.

i dont think things have quite fallen right in front of Goal a couple of bounces we could have scored a few more.

hopefully Nunes, and Neves will be bang on the money, and we can bring in a CF who can score goals preferably one who can put Jiminez on the bench

Unlikely that both will stay for that long unless we are winning the league and challenging the very best across the continent.

Both should have decent resale value if they are successful.

Absolutely. And we wouldn't sell both in the same window you would imagine, allowing time for replacements to be brought up to speed having been purchased with very serious funds.

I like this policy. A lot.

The Podence miss is the worst of the lot because he shanks it so badly that it almost looked more like an inaccurate cross.

Podence shouldn't have even shot. A cut back to either MGW would have been a much clearer chance. MGW wasn't busting a gut to get in the box though.
