Are people who wear Barbour jackets twats? Thinking of getting one but don't want to appear even more of a twat.

Nigel farage wears one when he stands on south coast cliff tops being filmed while shouting at refugees, think that answers your question

Can't imagine Dougie Lampkin sporting one.
He would have done back in the 50-60s if he was competing then....obviously since then better materials have been invented, hence Barbours sales focus has moved to more of a fashion based garment aimed at pseudo middle class people with delusions of grandeur

So to answer Tredmans question ............................................................. 🤣

Red trousers are for posh people only. My theory is that its some sort of signal to other plum throated dimwits to let them know they're one of them. Works for them in crowded social settings, where there may be the horror of having to interact with people who have actually worked for a living.

Quick follow up on the parking fine. The wife has contacted the bingo place directly and they have emailed the company that dishes out the fines to tell them to withdraw the fine. Simple as that. Thanks again to Darlowolf for the advice.

Bloody love that picture.

Funnily enough the missus gets on/off at Tooting Broadway every day. Still get people replicating that pose for selfies quite regularly apparently. I suggested doing the same and getting it up as the profile pic on Twitter but she wasn’t having it.

Good old Wolfie. Means a lot to people of a certain age.

Excellent news Haggstone. Glad to have been of assistance!

Can anyone recommend a blood oxygen thingy suitable for use overnight?

Thinking of going for a water meter, water is on rateable value atm. My lad appears to be paying about just over half what we're paying.
So anyone on a meter, what kind of bills do you get....I realise its down to usage but just trying to get a feel of average bills.

Two of us in a standard two-bed Victorian terrace in Bristol is £28p/m.

Water meter is always better value unless you have a leak or a swimming pool.

Yeah, I think you're right, although when they first came out, when I did the reckoner, as a family of 5, we'd have been worse off at the time.
Going by what people have posted, it's a no brainer now, my lad reckons his is about 22 quid per month...we paid over 500 quid last year!

2 adults here, and we have a bill approx 130 every 6 months. switched to a meter as soon as we moved in. like tredders says, miles better for us.
