I know, there's only three of us who'll post on this but not to worry.

Yamaha have agreed to let Rossi test the Ducati after Valencia in November :icon_biggrin:

Big changes for Moto GP and Moto2, seats swapped for WSB.

What do you think of the rule changes we've seen in BSB this year?

I reckon we're on for a good 2011.
 
I think a Brit in MotoGp will improve viewing for 2011.

I don't think World's can get much better than this year.

I preferred the 2nd grid position for BSB this year, but not the split with three events left. I wonder where Ellison would have finished without the change.
 
Good news with Rossi on the Duke after Valencia, do we know if Jerry Burgess is moving across with Rossi yet?

Really looking forward to seeing Crutchlow in MotoGP next year, I think he'll do well. What are the big changes coming into Moto2 gixer, can't say I've followed it too much this year? Can't wait until 2012 when they are back on the 990 bikes!

I know where Penk is coming from with BSB, but I think the split worked quite well although the championship was still looking likely to go to the last round without it.

Cheers, only one place better then. If only he had been fit all season. Can't see SMR having a team next season, which is a shame because it will leave a bit off a gap, not that I was going to get involved anyway.
 
The Doctor on a Duke is a branding match made in heaven and will pull in the crowds next season, no question. I struggle to see Burgess and the crew not jumping ship too, and from what I read it's nigh-on all but official that they've moved. I'm interested to see how Stoner fares on the Honda, there's been some upheavals there and I think Pedrosa might be in for a difficult season. .
 
Easton has rejoined MSS, so looks like you are right Penk sadly.
 
Looks like my prediction was wrong, James, with Tommy Hill joining Swan Yamaha and SMR and will be riding the Yamaha R1 with backing from the factory.
 
And they're off, day one of MotoGP testing from Sepang. Rossi was out on an 1198 at Misano and struggling badly after his shoulder surgery. Steady first day for Cal with no crashes, i'm sure this is his first time he's been to Sepang so better safe than sorry...

All 17 MotoGP race riders are present at the Sepang test, which marks the first time Valentino Rossi has ridden in Ducati red and Casey Stoner in full Repsol livery.

Stoner moved ahead of Lorenzo in the final 30 minutes.

Testing continues on Wednesday and concludes on Thursday evening...

I would be surprised if he wins another. Between Stoner and Lorenzo I reckon. Ben Spies needs another year.
 
Can't see past Lorenzo, he's extraordinary. Gutted Marco Melandri's had to move to WSB.
 
I prefer WSB probably because of the Brit lads.

Personally I wouldn't write Rossi off, I remember when he moved from Honda to a complete dog of a Yamaha and everyone said he was mad. There is still a title or 2 left in him if the desire is there. But I have to agree that both Stoner and Lorenzo are pretty special.
Just to add my all time favourite rider was Kevin Schwantz during what for me was a golden era of bike racing in all classes. Shame that Schwantz was never the same after Rainey's crash.
 
I think the bike he is on is capable, but he's 31 now and with last year's injury I can't really see him doing it again.
 
Doohan won 3 (I think) world titles after turning 31 and if I remember correctly that was also after suffering a pretty horrific leg injury at Assen.
 
Wasn't Doohan the first to pioneer a thumb operated rear brake after the injury left his ankle immobile? I was a big fan of the big bang 500's. Rainey, Doohan, Schwantz, Gardner, Lawson, Kocinski (sp?), Barros et al....

Your right about the thumb operated brake, I'd forgotten about that. I used to read Schwantz's atricle in Superbike magazine, I think it was called racing lines where he would talk about technique that I would then go out and try and scare myself shitless in the process!
