The F1 Thread

Turn 11 is just a lift + shift down a gear and is a high speed corner. Never ever been a braking zone.

Ignore me, I’ve competely got the wrong bit that they’re changing. Yeah I’m not sure that’s going to make much difference

Big shunt for Tsunoda brings out the red flag. He’s fine but his alpha tauri looks somewhat second hand.

Pole for Hamilton. Perez second. Verstappen third. Bottas only in eighth.

Norris would have been second but his lap was deleted for track limits

Great qualifying session. Would have been good to have Norris ahead of Max - would have led to some fireworks / dummy’s being spat.

Red Bull will be delighted to have 2 drivers challenging. Let's see if they can control them if both challenging 8n the race or will Max be given the top billing like Seb was.

What happened to Bottas?

Fair enough.

Interesting to see where he is next season. Just catching up and how did Russell get his bag of nails that close to Q3. Good to see he is progressing and pushing hard for the Merc seat.

First run in Q3 he was miles out in section one and the comms assumed he must have made a small fuck up. Second lap they followed him and he was clean through the section but the time was still shit. He just wasn’t quick at all.

New race in Miami from next year. 10 year deal for a track that has the Hard Rock Stadium in the centre (apparently some Dolphins play sports in there)

Just looked at the proposed circuit layout. Not bad. Not bad at all.

That would be a brilliant holiday. F1 Grand Prix, then stick around for the next Dolphins home game.

Raining now. Gonna be a wet (ish) start.

Lance Stroll has a minor problem. Totally burned his rear brakes out on the lap to the grid.

Alonso off on his trip to the grid and Bottas has picked up a puncture.

Half the track looks like a swimming pool and the other half nice and dry. Essentially this is the type of conditions Bernie wanted for years to spice things up a bit

Actually Domenicali has said it'll likely slot into the 2nd quarter of the year, so April-Jun. No NFL then.
