The Film Thread

I have seen someone say they loved it, and the bloke who came out of the film at the same time as me said to the staff it was awful. It's somewhere in between.

Couldn't stand the first one so bloody dreading Top Gun 2 coming out, I know I'll be dragged along to the cinema to watch it, several times.

Top Gun is an unassailably brilliant movie (not always for the reasons it is trying to be) and I will hear no argument to the contrary.

The volleyball scene alone puts it in the top 5.

Maybe if someone else was in the role of Maverick it wouldn't be so cheesy and bum cringing.

Nobody. Entertaining action packed violence. Didn't think I'd enjoy this, but I did. I'd even watch this one again👍

Chaos Walking had terrible reviews but a good audience score. Actually not too bad. I'll watch anything with Daisy Ridley in it though to be fair.

Copshop. Stuck with it and glad I did. Officer Young is as cool as fuck.

Did not enjoy the old Dune, in fact I don't think I even stuck it to the end. The new Dune was 2 and a half hours long and didn't want it to finish. Loved it.

Munich: The Edge of War. Decent enough espionage thriller, but fairly predictable.

The Courier which was released last year is a decent espionage film. With Benedict Cumberbatch.

The King's Man. Utter tosh.
Compared to the other two films it was rubbish, lacking all the fun and comic book silliness.

As a film in its own right it was just a bit dull and the concept done far better by Tarantino in Inglorious.
