The Fitness Thread

Might sound a bit crazy, but have you considered going the opposite way? I find with intermittent fasting, I have got used to eating less and actually feel better and more energised. I fast like 12 hours a day, don't eat till late morning/early afternoon and just don't feel the need to snack very often.
I think I probably need to accept I’ve lost enough weight and work out how to get to a balanced diet and calorie intake based on trying to maintain my current weight and exercise regime.

I’ve lost 1.5Kg this week already, didn’t plan that and it probably says I need to eat more.

Are you absolutely sure you're in good health?

I saw this film about a lawyer that lost a lot of weight. Philadelphia.

As far as a healthy snack goes, I would need to be very persuasively convinced there's a better alternative than good old fruit. Nature's candy.

Sadly I’ve known many people who died from AIDS, I’m also fully tested so good to go 😀

I’m going to have an Apple right now :)

Please tell me you're surrounded by seven midgets and you suddenly feel sleepy

Oh yeah, I get that. For me, fasting isn't about weight loss necessarily. I'd still eat general calorie intact to keep me at my weight, it would just be condenced into a time period. My body feels like it running more efficiently, and I crave food way less and have more energy. But hey, we are all different, what works for one won't necessarily work for another.

There's hope for anyone!

Remember Ethan Suplee the tubby tubkins actor who played Tuna in Blow and Randy in My Name is Earl?

Looks like the guy went on a bit of a cut down...

He's done a few interviews about it actually, from what I can remember I think it was all good old fashioned hard work rather than any kind of gastric surgery

My comment was based on the folds of skin you can see on his abdomen and legs, these being indicative of sudden and huge weightloss. Either way, kudos.

Oh yeah, he had plenty of excess skin but definitely looks good! He's put on a serious amount of muscle.

Can speak from unfortunate experience but excess skin is not just linked to gastric surgery.

As you've also lost belly weight, do you have a slightly achy back? Apparently mine is down to holding myself slightly differently as I don't need to counterbalance the podge.

I've tried to get back into a bit of a running routine the last couple of weeks, absence has not made my heart grow fonder. Did alright previously once I got into the routine, although never got to a stage where I would say I enjoyed it and certainly didn't look to push myself beyond the couch to 5k. Struggling to even get back to that level though, just don't have the will power to push myself when I don't enjoy it.

Hoping the lightening of the mornings and the resultant return to my more rural route can make it more enjoyable again. Content with being able to plod around 5k or so just to stop be progressing to 'stuck in the house' fat.
