The Football News Thread 2017/18 - everything not Wolves

Yep regardless of how much of a shitbag they were behaving you just can’t do that.
Big shame as I like MNF with him and Neville.

I like that the guy is filming while driving along with his kid in the car. Top parenting.

I hope he gets a nice fine and a good few points for using his phone whilst driving.

Isn't spitting on someone classed as a form of assault? Or used to be?
Regardless, no-one comes out of that story looking good.

Yes it is,bus drivers in London get a dna kit to use and give to the police when they get spat at,think they do in the West Midlands as well.

Then perhaps Carra has the risk of a prosecution coming his way?

I hope so. Disgusting thing to do, even if he was being goaded. I feel sorry for the girl, her father's clearly a bit of a bellend too but that's no excuse for being spat on.

Check out Tottenham's season ticket prices at the new WHL...

Stadium plan

Cheapest kids season ticket is £397. No concession prices in seven areas of the ground.

Tiny area available for cheapest adult tickets, talk about pricing people out the game.

Wow, can't wait to see them recreate Dortmunds yellow wall (which is what the tottingham fans kept mentioning) at £1000 a pop in those grey areas.

Also on Spurs new ground.
"In ourwell-connected cashless stadium, all payments are to be made using either a contactless card or via your mobile phoneto help speed up service."

Spurs put some new images on their website last night. It looks neat - but it bloody well should do for those prices.

I guess they’ve got the demand and fan base to sell the tickets at those prices

Concourses look like a modern US stadium

I do quite like the details such as the brickwork on the bar being from the original stadium, the main bar going across the whole of the goal line (you can see the 6 yard line measured out) etc etc.

Modern isn't necessarily bad IMO, as long as it retains some degree of character and individuality. It's why I hate identikit stadia as it could belong to anyone.

The single tiered stand behind the goal looks class.

It looks very nice but I can't help feeling that it looks more like a shopping mall than a football stadium. Especially with their 'street food' style food court (how much is the food going to cost??).

I guess you're going to build a new, modern stadium then it makes sense to make it look like that but I'd rather it felt more like a football stadium than a concert venue or something like that.

The stands/pitch do look impressive though and incorporating items from the original ground is a nice touch. As Langers says, it looks a lot better than some of the other identikit new grounds.
