Chris Martin fails to agree a new contract with Derby County.

I'm sure I read somewhere that derby are one of the next clubs to struggle financially
Depends how you define struggle financially. They are fine in terms of funds but being investigated by the EFL for selling the ground to the owner and fiddling FFP.

As for Martin he's spent 4 years tossing it off, they aren't going to offer him much just because he chose to try for a few weeks.

Infamous rebel rouser Paul Scholes in trouble for breaking lockdown rules and having a party. A children's birthday party

Wigan lose their appeal so are relegated

Tbf I'm sure they'd make ozil redundant if they could, but footballers' contracts aren't quite as simple as ours

Farcical sequence of events when you look back.

Arsenal had a choice of Sanchez or Özil, you can keep one. Get rid of Sanchez for Mkhitaryan who does next to nothing, gets farmed out on loan and is now worth close to nothing.

United get Sanchez who does less than nothing, on one of the most expensive contracts in the world, and they're having to give him away (if Inter play ball).

At the same time Arsenal also get rid of Giroud for relative pennies who is still banging them in for one of their biggest rivals.

Clubs with that sort of turnover shouldn't be binning 55 people who are likely on £20-30k per year. That's just over £1m per year. Redundancies too which means they'll likely be asking everyone else to cover the work they've left behind.

Seem to be clearing out their scouting network. Looks like Arsenal are essentially handing over their transfer dealings to Kia Joorabchian (amazingly the agent of Willian and Coutinho)

Back to normal in the PL next season. 7 on the bench and back to 3 subs.

Good stuff. Bigger clubs (including Chelsea, shock) had voted to keep it but lost vote 11 to 9

Hey Kenny you dumbass, is there a new thread?
