No same goes for the PL, absolutely nothing will happen like point deductions. They’ll feel a bit smaller and the other 14 probably realise they can be stood up to in the future which is a good thing.

Legal ramifications for docking points would get very messy to the big 6 will argue they’ve not done anything wrong because they never resigned from the PL not did they kick a ball in the ESL. Regardless whether they signed contracts they’ll probably use the 14 day cooling of period as defence and realisation of their error of judgment.
As said they’ve lost some power that’s for sure and will think carefully from now on about bullying everyone else.

Yep it'll be down to UEFA as it was European football they were going to be pulling out of. Their intentions to still play in the domestic leagues hadn't changed (although there would have been huge pressure to play weakened teams domestically) so it will be tough to apply any sanctions or penalties for any club that agreed to be in the Super League and has pulled out.

I'm however assuming that as all these clubs have allegedly signed a contract to play in this league that there is a break clause in the contract. Even if there is I'd imagine there is still going to be a huge financial hit to them for pulling out.

This where it becomes a messy business, the PL will take the easy route and quick fix route of allowing them to continue as normal.

14 day cooling off doesn’t often apply in big deals. I did M&A for years and it really didn’t effectively exist there

I presume the contract was full and binding as it's usually the case.

The fact the PL rejected the league and deal suggests any letter was full and binding and called an emergency meeting of the remaining members to ratify it.

That would leave the clubs open to sanctions.

It may also be that the PL and it's members have said anybody pulling out in the next 48 hours will receive reduced sanctions.

I expect fines and a points deduction next season, suspended for 5 years.

Apology from Arsenal and something similar from Spurs, no such thing from the other two though. Whom having consulted "various key stakeholders" (whomever and whatever those are) they're withdrawing, might have been a wise idea to do that before signing up in the first place?

I'm seeing a few tweets about UEFA giving a big cash sum to the English clubs to get them to leave the ESL. Not sure how true that is, and hopefully it's just hogwash.
