Yes Everton have been dodgy as fuck with their finances but stopping goals going in on a frequent basis would probably see Leeds above Everton and certainly without a huge minus GD.
The fact they are now likely to go down is more their own making than Everton spending money they shouldn't.
Spent all that money and just escaped relegation, hardly gained an advantage from it.

PL won't do anything, Leeds or Burnley go down with the added bonus of being bitter twats and hopefully Everton have to bin a load of players on the cheap and struggle again.

There will have to be a fire sale, and their side is weak to start that process off.
