The Goggle Box Thread

Watched a couple of Nordic noirs last couple of days, both decent. Chestnut Man and Valhalla Murders. Worth a squiz if you like your Nordic noirs. Just going to start Borderliner.

Borderliner was OK, not your usual Nordic noir, in fact it was completely different but it was let down badly by the last two episodes. Alright up until then. Something to pass a few hours but I wouldn’t recommend going out your way to watch it.

Invasion on Apple TV is really good. Proper old-school sci-fi.

I watched the first ep as it was free but it didn't really grab my attention, any non spoilery stuff or which episode to watch where it fills out a little bit?

I’ve nearly finished 2 and it’s definitely shifting along now. Seems really well done too.

Brassic continues to raise a smile for me. Season three continues in a fucked up way. I think its fantastic.

Also a thumbs up from Brassic from me. Not started Season 3 yet though.

Just started Maniac on Netflix. 2 eps in and I like it a lot. Right up my boulevard.

I think Alan partridge has been dishing to advice out, there's a show on the BBC about fighting fraud and scammers presented by the heavyweight investigatives Ashley John baptiste ( ex boy band member of a band from X factor who never made it) and Kim marsh (ex reality to show band hearsay and corrie actress)

Hes not alive, she is making those claims but if you watch the show, the FBI lead investigator doesnt comment on it.

I'd guess they are investigating her and have found some evidence of her involvement in Don's disappearance.
His former right hand man seems to also be involved

Squid Game is worth a watch, I enjoyed it anyway.
Binge watched it during my self isolation. Wasn't expecting too much with all the hype and news around it, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. It is brutal, which is where the headlines come from, but actually I thought it was quite a comment on modern society, inequality and the desperate expoitation of the poor by the wealthy. Quite a decent watch. And some well clever and inventive ways to kill people!

Really enjoyed the first episode of the new Cowboy Bebop, which had snuck up on me. Best live action adaptation I've seen in ages, and retains the quirky fun of the original well.
