Finished We Own The City, absolutely brilliant. way too short though for how engrossing it was. Jamie Hector was just unreal in it, he was one of the best on screen 'bad guys' I've ever seen playing Marlo Stanfield, he was proper unnerving. Seeing him play Sean Suiter was pretty surreal. Jon Bernthal's walk still kills me though, from The Walking Dead and Punisher through to this it's so funny.

I did wonder if the bow legged walk in this was actually something the real Jenkins had.

As for Hector he was in 5 seasons of Bosch as a cop prior to this role, so now was bit easier to see him as not Marlo.

I watched a few seasons of Bosch ages ago but can’t really remember it and I definitely don’t remember Hector being in it. Only watched The Wire six months ago so it’s still fresh in my mind. Mario was fucking evil.

Jamie Hector played Bosch's partner across the whole series. Had his own storylines across several of them too, and made a brief appearance in the recent spinoff also.

Is the spin off any good?

I thought Bosch was excellent and Hector and Welliver are both brilliant in it.

Probably not as good as the original but definitely still watchable, free albeit with ads if you have a Prime subscription.

I really need to revisit Bosch from the start and finish it this time. I think there were only two or three seasons on when I watched it.

It's great - the spin off is good too. The Wire it is not, but definitely worth your time.

Yeah I do remember enjoying it. Might start it next now I've caught up on everything else.

Gave Money Heist: Korea a whirl last night and it's literally Money Heist in a different language. Fuck that.

Someone at work recommended Reacher on Amazon, said it was ‘brilliant’. Fuck me it’s shit.

At least the lead actor isn't an homunculus.

Nah, gotta disagree I thought it was really good. Richtson was right for Reacher, the story stuck to its book roots. I enjoyed it a lot.

That sort of stuff is just way too corny / macho for me. And to be honest while I don’t mind suspending belief for stuff I just found a lot of it daft. Just not my thing.

Way better than the cruise films, low bar tho

Sherwood, now that's proper good telly, best thing since LOD. Made me think about that time, watched the whole miners strike unfold on the news at that time but this programme made it all real, proper social history. At the time it was set, I'd not long got back into work after 2 years on the dole, bought some dark memories back tbh.
Not sure it needs another series though.
