The " Honey I'm home and I'm bloody starving , what's for dinner " Thread.

"Big Mac salad", stuffed in taco shells, stuffed in soft tortillas.
Filthy, but gorgeous...

What the hell is Big Mac Salad?
Sort of a "deconstructed" Big Mac?
Beef mince, diced onion and gherkin, shredded lettuce, grated cheese and burger sauce. All mixed up together...

After discussion elsewhere during this shit match went randomly into food topics I will now be definitely trying to make a francesinha tomorrow rather than the usual Sunday roast.

Thanks to whoever said putting boiling water on your pork skin first before sticking it in the oven.

Worked a charm, 25 minutes in our air fryer and the cracking is perfect.

I had to Google that. Looks good. Let us know how it turns out.

Holy shit. Its great but it really is a heart attack on a plate. Did mine with smoked ham, pork sausage, chorizo slices and a sliced super rare denver steak. Stack was about five inches high.

If I made it again I would possibly consider adding some pate on the bottom slice of bread. I left the fried egg out as I didnt think it was needed. The beer and port tomato sauce is superb. Just a pinch of chilli brings it banging to life.

I think I weigh about twenty stone suddenly.

Chilli & salt spare ribs with Yakisoba noodles.

Lamb cutlets with rosemary garlic and red wine jus. Mint sauce. Roast potatoes. Veggies.
Just for a bit of perspective, wife has gone out so I've had a fish finger sandwich with air fried chips :)

Frozen burger (cooked obviously) and oven chips. The real show stopper was the hash browns I got from Aldi, with cheese inside, they are seriously nice.

I ask 'any ideas for tonight, If it's meat I can get it out the freezer?'

Responses were ' Would love something different that we haven't had in ages '

'Like what?'

'Don't know '

Then bugger off, its fish, homemade chips and mushy peas.
