He deserves his own thread, he is so good. I've stated it elsewhere, but I believe he is the best midfield player we have had in at least 30 years. Intelligent, composed, rarely gives the ball away and a scrapper too. I love him!

<Signs up to thread>

Although spelling his name correctly would probably show an even greater level of appreciation, Mr Toon.... ;)

A joy to watch. Once he got into his stride yesterday he was superb. The tackle, composure, turn and pass for Dicko when he skinned Garrido just shows you how clever and alert he is.

If we don't show signs of challenging for promotion, he'll be on the radar for a few Prem teams. If players like Scott Parker can forge a career in the top flight then he'd fit in that league without any issue at all.

Great hair too!

I'd agree with him being the best central midfielder we've had for a long time, not that we've been particularly blessed in that position over the years.

Best since Alex Rae for me.

He's got girly hair and we don't care.

Don't appreciate him enough to spell his name correctly though :icon_wink:

He's brilliant. So composed, very rarely misplaces a pass and even when he's closed down quickly manages to hold onto the ball.

I thought he took about 20 minutes to get up to speed yesterday. It looked like he wanted a little bit too much time on the ball at the start (time he would have got last season) - there were also a couple of sloppy passes where he played the ball straight out of play, which is unusual for him. That said, he upped his game and had more and more influence as the game progressed. He'll be massive for us this season and deserves all the plaudits. STILL - we're one game in so lets keep a lid on the expectation levels!

He really does need to sort out his hair.

I thought he started slowly yesterday and uncharacteristically gave the ball away but once he got into his stride it was last season all over again. Quite simply, when he plays well, which is most of the time, we keep possession, we dictate the pace, we create chances. When he sits in front of the back four it gives the full backs licence to bomb forward in confidence because he reads the game so well.

If we lost him to injury, it would be a significant blow.

He dovetails better with Price than Evans I feel and we always looked a better team with Price in the middle. But respect KJ as he sees them day in day out etc so better suited to know which pairing will work for which opposition.

I think his passing and composure on the ball are better than Rae. He is a more complete player IMO. Rae was quality too, though.

As for the spelling error, chalk it up to thinking of him as K Mac... So that's the fault of this forum. :icon_wink:

the man is pure class and i cant wait to see him play for wolves in the PL, he is the best midfielder ive seen down at wolves for a long time and based on the videos on the Wolves youtube he has good banter with all the boys which always helps too :)

I can only echo what as been said, i'm pretty sure i read somewhere that a few fans were concerned whether he could make the step up, if yesterday is anything to go by those doubts won't be realised.

I have no doubt that he would be comfortable making the next step up the to Prem.
