The Manager Sacked/Hired Thread 2022/23

He’s fine for now. I love the irony of Liverpool fans cheering United goals as it keeps him in the job. They are no threat to the big silverware with him in charge. He is also noticeably aging really rapidly and going all tonsure on top. That’s the pressure of that job.

If I was the United board I would be removing Smeàgol and hiring Potter as soon as possible. They won’t do that so CR7 player manager in the spring looks on the cards.

Looks like Watford are going for their annual October sacking. 4 points off the relegation places with a bottom 3 squad and were robbed yesterday by incompetent officials

And gone

Mine hasn't but I completely forgot that Watfords owners go through 4 managers a year.

17 in 10 years.

For Munoz not a bad result, got promotion and mid- table when he goes, so as its Watford no damage to his reputation.
Plus no doubt a nice wedge for the rest of his contract.

Saw his interview on MOTD last night and he clearly knew then he was screwed.

I mean where do Watford’s owners expect them to be? Where they’re is par at least. Ranieri in bound apparently,

A nice bonus at 6/1. Bookmakers must be mad to ever offer such odds on a Watford manager.

Who's next? Nuno bought himself a bit of time yesterday. Vierra seems to be doing much better than expected so I suspect a former MU player, either Bruce or Soslkjaer.

Don't think Bruce goes before Ashley, he's a useful human shield.

Ole should have gone months ago..

They were a very distant second though (same as under Mourinho...and he got sacked within six months or so of that), the European final they made was as a result of him having them crash out of the Champions League group stage and on Saturday they had a bench that had cost them around £500m in fees alone.

He has no tactics whatsoever. Just put good players out there and hope they do something. They never control a game. Watching them on Saturday and then Liverpool vs City yesterday, it's night and day.

Won't get sacked any time particularly soon though.

Farke would be my bet if I had to make one.

I think Ronaldo might get Ole sacked, Ronaldo won't put with Ole being shite.

As an aside, I reckon Ronaldo would be a decent manager too

Need a completely different mentality to the one he's got as a player, constantly whinging and complaining at team mates that don't meet his high standards.

I can't see him having any man management skills at all. He comes across as self centred and arrogant.

Absolute model professional who would demand the best from absolutely everyone, knows the game inside out, has played and delivered in the biggest games / competitions in the world.

He's developed his game and understanding of the game throughout his career.

There is that clip of him somewhere getting João Moutinho to take a penalty, he knew exactly what to say to get João to step up.

I totally get the petulance thing so would have to see if he's like that off the pitch too.
