Conte not getting any more out of a mediocre squad with a superstar striker who doesn't give a shit than Nuno. Early days I know but you'd expect more in his first home game.
Different game once Leeds tired after chasing around like lunatics. I love to see teams working hard but their approach is totally erratic and second season syndrome looms large at Elland Road.

Yeah it was always going to be difficult to sustain.. it looks great at times but its flawed long term imo.

Seems Conti told Spurs to try to conserve their energy first half (felt wouldn't be fit enough to match Leeds), second half they outran Leeds by 3km.

Nuno proved you can win games running far less than the opposition. Yesterday Leeds had individuals chasing Spurs players down but there was no coordination, it was simple for Spurs to move the ball and Leeds looked spent inside an hour. Liverpool press better than anyone and that’s because they do it as a team. Now teams have got used to the Bielsa way they are increasingly finding ways to nullify it.

I said to ridicule on here last season that Leeds would go down this. I'm not there yet, but I've said stupider things
Injuries certainly playing a part. Could be close as even Norwich are picking up points. If Newcastle get to January in touch they could well climb clear and Watford are doing better than many expected.

That's the brilliant thing about the PL, even the best and most distinctive teams have a shelf life because you get sussed out and countered so quickly. Only the elite managers (who of course also have better players than most) can really sidestep it for long

Talk that the level of compo that PSG would want just now is putting United off Poch just now and they may be turning their attention to Ernesto Valverde. That would be hilarious.

Reading an article in the athletic by a United journalist and it stated Steve Bruce would be very keen in taking on the interim role.

Fuck it they should go full hog in their United romantic claptrap, him with Keane and Phil Neville as assistants, every week would be unmissable tv.

Excuse me, but if I can handpick ex-Man Utd players who are dire managers, I'm having Paul Ince.

Steve Bruce has, as much as I hate to say it, at some point demonstrated some level of competence. He somehow finished above us last season, admittedly aided by us giving up around February some time.

Ince would be the greatest value ever, plus the world would realise what a cunt he is.

Can I refer the honourable DW to #409 of this very thread? Way ahead of you there mate

Jokanovic set to get the push from Sheffield United

Emotional return for Warnock or Brucey?

Warnock wrote in his autobiography that minutes after the final game of the season, actor and Blades fan Sean Bean burst into his office, blaming Warnock for the team's relegation in a "foul-mouthed tirade" while Warnock's wife and daughter were present. Bean denied this, calling Warnock "bitter" and "hypocritical", and arguing that he would never use such language in front of another man's wife and children.
Bean would not like a return...

Knew a chap who was a diehard Sheffield United fan, both of his kids initials spelled out the word BLADE (yep I know) he hated Warnock with a passion only reserved for societies worst members
